Yperio_Bricks Posted July 4 Just saw a review of the LSW magazine that comes with Vader and one of two tin boxes. Looks like Germany and UK get this issue in July while Spain gets Sabine Wren also in July. So there is indeed a Sabine comming with the magazine.
Agent Kallus Posted July 4 So ( here and Germany at least) Sabine will be in the magazine just as the Peridea set hits shelves. That's a nice bit of synergy.
cosmic Posted July 4 That new 3 pack is so exciting. Love the clone troopers, the Yoda figure and the Taun We figure.  Kind of wish there was some way to save money with the battle pack, though. Still, at the same price of purchasing all these sets individually, I can see myself buying this pack. Thoughts on the exclusive 25th Anniversary Figures and the sets they come in. Nien Nunb - Easiest grab. Love the figure, love the mould, and love the set. Best version of the Sarlacc Pitt, the Skiff has more details than ever and the figures are amazing. I guess I just wish we got more bad guys besides Boba Fett Saw Gerrera - Kind of upset with this one. His figure is amazing but this Sith Infiltrator is a major let down. The 2011 version had Padme and Captain Panaka. I wish both were present in this set to increase the value. Only 3 figures and Qui Gun Jinn doesn't have dual molded legs or even side leg printing. Huge let down. Plus the build is nothing special and feels too blocky for a 2024 release, I was expecting something more polished. I hate to say it but Saw may not be enough to get me to splurge on this. Fives - The more I look at this set the more I like it. The figures are great army builders. I mean you can never have too many Rebel Soldiers or Stormtroopers. The build is clean and aesthetically pleasing, so I can't be too mad. I see myself buying this. Child Leaia - It would be nice to have this figure but not necessary at all. Plus I find the buildable droids useless and easy to pass on. To save money I really don't see myself buying this. Luckily its not a variant I'm particularly ecstatic about. Meh figure, meh build, Meh all around. Good for my wallet, I guess. Darth Malak - I actually kind of love this figure but not excited about this build in the slightest. I don't think I need a buildable R2 to display and this one is nothing to die over. It's alright but the price is high so unfortunately I may have to skip this one. Bummer Darth Maul - That ugly 25th Anniversary Logo printing on his back make him the biggest pass. Plus his figure is bound to be remade eventually without that dumb print. Cal Kestis - Never even knew who this character was until this was announced. The set reminds me of what I would see on the Toys R Us shelves in 2007. For the nostalgia factor, may pick this up. But I'll wait for reviews to decide. I don't feel strongly about this in any way. Time will tell. Overall I appreciate the gimmick over ignoring the 25th Anniversary, but it doesn't take away from the fact that this Summer Wave is mid overall, and easily overshadowed by the sets we got last year. ooh but unpopular opinion I kind of love the Duel on Peridea. I think it looks clean and focused, not too busy. The figures are amazing, and I don't think the price is as bad as people are making it out to be. I actually see myself getting this, its fun and looks amazing.
Lego Nostalgia Posted July 4 I have a feeling the Skeleton Crew set is canceled, we haven't heard anything about it besides that Minifigure leak, we don't know if the show is still coming out so I don't know at this stage, not that I care anyway. Also when do you guys think we'll get set prices for the January 2025 wave ? If I see a set price for 20 or 21 Euro then I can imagine it being a Battle Pack (hopefully a Night Trooper one)

If I see a set price for 20 or 21 Euro then I can imagine it being a Battle Pack (hopefully a Night Trooper one) I can’t see why they’d cancel the set, especially at this point. Much more likely they move the release to January 1st IMO. Or sometime later this year, and they’re clamping down on leaks because the show doesn’t even have a trailer yet. I don’t get people calling Jedi Bob’s Starfighter ugly as a flaw. Isn’t that sort of the point? It’s clearly evoking early 2000s Lego design philosophy. All in all, I really appreciate the design. I’m not going to spend $50 on it, but I’m happy it exists. I am curious as to how it looks in an unaltered photo, since the current image is definitely filtered a bit so the greys look like the old grey colours. McMurder_them_softly Posted July 4 Wow. Well I like the Battle on Peridea is nice. Simple seeming build. I like the figures but not enough to push me over the edge. Would be nice to get the Ezra sometime. Skiff and Saarlac pit I really like but the US price is rough at the moment. We shall see how it pairs with the barge. Jedi Bob fighter looks great! Hope to see more of the figure. Will need to dig my original figure out from storage for this occasion.
Alex_South Posted July 4 (edited) overall this has felt like a mostly filler year, it's clear they have backed away from the TV space quite a bit. Jedi Bob is funny and a genuinely fun fighter build so I will get that. It's a mix of delta-7 and interceptor proportions, the underside might be rough and I really hope it has landing gear, I think a lot of folks will come around on the design once they see more of it, the build and design looks superior to both the delta-7 and interceptor builds imo. Rex is a must have 12$ figure just in case we get a good Anakin figure next year. I don't have a good minimalist Clone Wars display idea for him yet but he's the definitive clone character so I got him. I might consider the skiff if they do a playscale barge at some point, like the UCS/playscale ATAT, but that's a wait and see situation. This version of Luke is my favorite that lego has ever done. C-3PO is a very interesting set to me because of the way it handles gold and silver pieces. This makes a proper chimera possible, right? Also I can now hope for an updated N-1 for mando movie with silver pieces and a better build. The SD this year was really disappointing considering all the talk from lego about how they only remake a vehicle if they can do something new like the Coruscant guard gunship recolor, for me it's a wasted slot for big grey triangle, I would have preferred the Chimera or a play-scale Venator. The build is absolutely solid though so if they ever do make those other two triangles I am confident they will do a good job. I don't know who has the money or shelf space for the dark falcon but lego is squeezing every last drop out of that 2019 falcon design. I am good to wait--I anticipate disney is going to cash in on falcon/OT crew nostalgia with an upcoming mando-verse movie. Lordhelmet Posted July 4 8 hours ago, PreVizsla said: What do you mean by "overcorrection"? Prequel movies are still massively neglected, only TCW gets love. Fair, I was thinking mostly about clones in general as the overcorrection (years with limited clones sets to a lot of clone wars sets).  I grouped in prequels unfairly. I would have thought that we would be getting set numbers and prices around now. And basic information in August or September. And the Onyx Cylinder leaked. I’m not sure what to think. I most definitely won’t be getting it though. I don’t think it’s gonna sell that well. The shaping just feels off. It seems too dark in colour to be a good guy ship. I’m not sure how many kids will want to buy this (even if they are able to afford this set) since the figs kinda look lame. There’s not even a cool villain character. Edited July 4 by CloneCommando99
icm Posted July 4 (edited) Looks like the Remora from The Bad Batch and the Night Buzzard from Somehow, Sheev had a baby. I'm happy to strike it off my wanted list. I wasn't sure which, if either, I would find more interesting of the Dark Falcon and the Onyx Cinder, but the Dark Falcon wins by a mile. Since I have the Somehow, Sheev Falcon I'll skip the Dark one. I'll save my money for the ISD, which I actually really like. Edited July 4 by icm
Darth Phallus Posted July 4 Looks like a bigger knight of ren ship, but 130€ for that is too much
BrickBob Studpants Posted July 4 So much for the Onyx Cinder being cancelled  The ship deviates quite a bit from the concept art that was revealed ages ago, but I like it! The minifigs are the clear highlight though. Nice to finally have a Jude Law minifig after they skipped Youngledore and Yon-Rogg
Yperio_Bricks Posted July 4 The ship looks like a fun build. The minifigs.... i am in love Lego really waits for every set to leak before they officially reveal it.
ArrowBricks Posted July 4 Onyx Cinder looks nice, certainly doesn’t feel like 1325 pieces. Minifigures are good, as expected. Fingers crossed I like the show, and there’s a certain set on shelves already that will go nicely with it, too. If you know, you know.

It’s hilarious when they hold off on official pictures less than a month before release, that’s when it gets really ridiculous. The Onyx Cinder looks great, I’m a huge fan of ships with full interiors so will definitely be buying this if I enjoy the show. I’m curious to see why Lego failed to make anything Acolyte-related when Hasbro could, given that their lead times for products are fairly similar and Hasbro adapted to the Acolyte’s release date being moved forward. Jedi Bob’s Starfighter looks phenomenal, it balances the blocky 2000s look with some sleekness that modern sets are known for. It’s quite silly that they seem to be reserving the official reveal for SDCC, just release the pictures already! Edited July 4 by Kaijumeister

Meaf Posted July 4 I really wonder if we're going to see a Night Trooper battlepack next year. It feels like something they'd do, especially since it's not too uncommon for a one-off trooper to come in a battlepack later on (like the Sith Trooper, 2023 Shock Trooper, or Dark Trooper assuming you count 75324 as a battlepack). Ahsoka will be two years old by the time that battlepack would release, so I'm not sure Lego will still care about covering the series by then, especially if there are going to be more sets for season 2 or the movie or whatever that could include them. CloneCommando99 Posted July 4 44 minutes ago, Meaf said: I really wonder if we're going to see a Night Trooper battlepack next year. Army Troopers and Stormtroopers for me. As they are more versatile units. Night-troopers would be good as well. But after the Moff Gideon’s commandos I want more generic Imperial Troops rather than specific one-off (so far) units. I understand that I’m in the minority on this one. I feel like the MIDI Scale line should come with a single mini fig. So it completes the half a UCS set feel. And yes I know I’m in the minority on that one too.
CallumPears Posted July 4 51 minutes ago, CloneCommando99 said: Army Troopers and Stormtroopers for me Same, I've been a fan of the deep-Legends Imperial Army lore for years so was really happy when they finally made an official Army Trooper in the form of Han in 75211... then proceeded to never make a battle pack (would've loved a pack with 3 Army Troops and a Mimban Stormie) or even release them in a single other set. I did grab 30 of the torsos on Bricks and Pieces back then and combined them with AT-ST driver heads to make a group of purist custom ones, but would love some proper official ones.  I agree with wanting a minifigure in the midi sets too. Would've been great to have got Ozzel or Piett in the Executor. I am slightly biased though as someone who generally has no interest in sets which aren't system-scale. Tbh, while the Executor and Invisible Hand would've been good opportunities for hard-to-find figures, the Falcon and Tantive probably would've just had Han and Leia who wouldn't have really added much to the set with how common they are anyway.

Gives it a very 80s ET/Goonies vibe.  Ship itself looks great- the white stripes really help it be more than a grey blob, and it's got pretty interesting shaping and techniques. Whether or not it's a buy will completely be down to what I think of the show, though. I wonder when this is meant for release.
