Herlock Sholmes - Second Adventure Ch9

(Here is where we left our story  last time)

The villains reacted faster than expected:

800x644.jpg

While the green-masked villain turned towards Sholmes and his friends and drew both his sabers, his accomplice immediately started running away.

800x594.jpg

Amongst the “Hold, Hold!” cries of the guards he dashed for the hole in the wall to make his escape.

And then the Marquis, who had long drawn his blade, attacked the green-masked villain.

He was denied this chance in the previous adventure, which made him even more dangerous now.

The following scenes are shown in BRETHREN-OF-THE-BRICK-SEAS-SUPER-SLOW-MOTION (BOBSSSM ™) – otherwise nobody would be able to follow the events that took place in the blink of an eye.

For visual reference you might want to look here. (imagine that the Marquis is the green one. But this time the opponent is hardly moving…

800x619.jpg

0.2 sec:  The Marquis knocks the green hat off the green head.

800x600.jpg

0.3 sec: The Marquis attacks the saber in the left hand of the villain

800x712.jpg

0.4 sec: The Marquis attacks the saber in the right hand of the villain.

800x638.jpg

0.5 sec: "Klonk!"

800x718.jpg

0.7 sec: "Klank"

800x600.jpg

0.9 sec: The Marquis has disarmed the villain.

800x983.jpg

1.1 sec: The Marquis jumps once more

800x600.jpg

1.3 sec: The Marquis lands.

800x600.jpg

It seems that the Marquis has won this round. The long training hours with master-fighter Mary-Sue have paid off!

800x600.jpg

2.0 sec: The soldiers start to rush after Liam Jeeves.

800x615.jpg

One of them fires after the running villain.

800x584.jpg

Then Sholmes closes in on the green-masked villain.

Sholmes: “Who are you?

Green-masked villain: “I am Masfanto.”

Dr. Sonwat: “Never heard of him.”

Spoiler

This storyline is partially based on the French "Fantomas"-movies from the 1960s. He is not that popular these days...

800x571.jpg

Sholmes: “That might be the name to go with your disguise – but I want to know who is behind that mask. Pull it off! Now!”

(to be continued)

Good super slow motion fight scene. Masfanto had no chance. He could probably have won with just a sword and a banana as a distraction. I'm curious who's under the mask.

The first picture of the flying Marquis is ingenious and should be engraved on a gold plate and send to the skies with the next satellite to show everyone out there in the universe one of the world's finest artworks!

Also i had to laugh quite hard :monkey::pir-triumph::pir_laugh2:

Loving the slo-mo fight . That's hilarious!

Ending on a cliffhanger again. Like a regular soap tv show, this story. Curious to see who is the perpetrator. I love how the assistant also dryly says "never heard of him". Funny subversion of expectations there.

That thing with the banana is a great idea. That would have worked! Only problem is that (almost) nobody sees the monkey in the marquis :pir-laugh:

I enjoyed that too.  My wife is proof-reading my stories and she also complains that there are so many cliffhangers...

Stop motion takes soooo long.

I can tell you one thing: The villain will be revealed in the next chapter!

Can't wait to see behind the mask!

The slow-mo looks like it was fun to do.  Were you just holding onto the monkey's tail?  It worked so well!

Next chapter!

It is good to have a column in the shot behind which you can hide things. The monkey's tail can be clipped to tiles modified.
