Guys guess what? Some of the summer 2024 sets are coming to the US in June, including the bus and Johnny Thunder's ATV - both of which are on my list. I'm so excited.

Yes!!!! That’s pretty good news! Johnny Thunder ATV  and that tour bus are the ones i am chasing after!

Thanks for the heads-up!

No problem! Yup these are release day buys for me too.

Yup! That's me! The Island Chronicles is a fanfiction series I made up based off of my favorite Lego game, Lego Island.

Lego finally seems to do 6 wides with side by side minifig seats in a few new sets (Car Truck, LEGO truck, Stegosaurus Van ), hopefully will become more of a standard instead of a rarity

Anyone know if those big tiles on the side of the Lego Truck are printed or stickers ?

The 8x16 white tiles are definitely prints—you can clearly see the injection points in the middle in some of the pics, which would be covered if they were stickered. I can’t tell for sure whether the 4x4 yellow tiles with the Lego logo are printed or stickered. Hopefully it’s not long before we see a review to answer that question for sure!

A shop here in Ireland had the Jungle Explorer ATV 60424 and the Water Plane 60425 on the shelves yesterday. I got the smaller set for the red panda. No sign of the bigger sets yet and other branches of the same shop don't have the new sets available at all.

That new map tile looks like it has a silhouette of the red panda head and a volcanic island. I wonder if that's a reference to the Volcano Explorers sets from 2016?

I just noticed something in the harbour set - There is a (stickered, alas) map of the area that places what looks like the crooks’ hideout directly to the left of the crane.

If you have some classic Johnny Thunder Minifigs and/or the CMF ‘fig, would you be willing to show some combinations with the new parts?

I don't have any of the original Adventurers sets with Johnny Thunder. The earliest I have is the 2014 one from the Lego Movie. If you want any combinations of these, let me know. I did notice he's mislaid his gun though.

Here are the 2014 Lego movie (left), the CMF Series 19 Jungle Explorer (middle) and the newest figure (right):

Can I see City head and torso with CMF legs and original hat, and City torso with CMF head and legs with original hat? Thanks! 👍

I've sent you a message instead of posting it here. You never know if Lego are looking out for this type of mistake and I don't want the shop staff to get in trouble for accidentally putting out on the shelves early.

Exactly - Thanks!
Could I also see the City head and OG hat with the CMF torso and legs?

This is the definitive modernised Johnny Thunder, IMO - At least, until LEGO finally gives us a proper updated hat!

I love that one of them is clean-shaven and the other has stubble.
I am now torn between; either using the Jungle Explorer as ‘in the city’ and the new one as ‘roughing it in the field’ . . ooooooor the dramatic reveal that the Johnny Thunder of minor celebrity in my city has been an impostor and the real Jonny appears to call him out!

For some reason, the head with stubble looks better with the dark tan torso.

My plan is to use the City torso and CMF head as an update of the desert design, and the CMF torso and City head as a jungle variant.

I don’t know if this is already discussed but do you  know when Space City sets will be retired? I could not remember what is the name of webiste that list sets will be retired and I saw someone mentioned that Space City will be retired by end of this year. Is that true?

Not all of them, according to brick fanatics, the space mech, command rover, and science lab will be retired at the end of this year. The others will retire next year

Additional to the ones mentioned above, the Polybag is also set to retire this year (and the 3 in 1 Set, but that isn´t really surprising, with two of its sets retiring this year). The space Lab on the other hand is going to retire next year, not this.

On a side note, the Quad with the Red Panda and the Plane with Crocodiles from the Jungle wave will also retire this year.

Hoarding of Red Panda Quad & Crocodile Plane shall commence as soon as I find a deal on them somewhere.  Maybe not the crocodile plane, but definitely a few extra crocs from PAB.

My Walmart (in Canada) had all the new jungle sets except the helicopter one. I picked them all up, and two of the red panda set!
