[MOC] Pirate Death Star

Ahoi and may the force be with you, pirate!

Finally I present to you the MOC by my friend Jan-Hendrik and me:

The Pirate Death Star

some may have seen it in person in Skaerbaek last autumn but now I had time to post it...

The different Death Stars are a building project invented by my LUG Steinhanse, so every year there will be several crazy Death Stars!

Levels

The death star consists of 4 levels and a big cannon, as the original lego set. The levels are devided as follows:

Level 0: Deep Sea with fish and all the different sea creatures

• The Kraken
• Atlantis
• and more

Level 1: Caves and shipwreck:

• The caves of the islanders, full of treasures.
• The pirates tavern under the hideout, partly in the old shipwreck.
• The dungeon of the redcoats
• The shipwreck

Level 2: Island:

• The beach of the islanders
• The pirates hideout
• The Shipwreck bay
• The redcoats fort

Level 3: Battle at sea :

• Ironhook and his Renegade Runner Revamp fighting Governor Broadside.
• Captain Redbeards crew on a treasure hunt, as well firing the big cannon.
• The redcoats lighthouse.
• The story of the plug.

The caves have accessible stairways to the island.

At sea level a technic chain powerd by a motor moves the boats and fish around.

The big cannon fires a "Death Star cannon ball"

Love it! The amout of detail ye and yer friend have managed to cram in the given space makes up for a lovely and compact model. That plug being pulled, which causes a maelstrom is genius design! An astounding job!

Lego has been outdone!!! That Moc Is more than head and shoulders above what the Lego DeathStar is. WOW!!!!

Wonderful and flamboyant build  There are many stories to discover and one can hardly capture all details. I can only imagine how much time and thought went into this.

Incredible. What you managed to fit inside the Death Star footprint is jaw dropping awesome! Every level has such details, I don't know where to begin. Jack Sparrow being let out by the kraken, the Islanders guarding a collectable coin, the big cannon firing an actual Death Star, it's crazy! Great work.

Yeah we had so many ideas, which we could not build due to restricted size… but the plug was one of the best, we even added some more splashy waves, I will add some more detail fotos when it is back out of storage!

It was build over several months. We started before skaerbaek 2021 but it was finished in 2022, kinda pandemic job. During the build I moved so at the end we could not build together so much…

Yeah the coin just was released during the build so I could not resist, because for sure it includes only original parts, the coin somehow is one as well!

As I mentioned, my LUG builds every year several different death stars “Noppensterne”, this is our build for series 3, series  4 for will be published at Skaerbaek Fan Weekend 2023. I am all into pirates, so there was no question which theme was chosen! Aye!

What a fantastic mix of themes and a fun spin on the Death Star! Pirates hasn't looked this fun since Baracuda bay! With lots of vibrant colors and natural wonder to boot :D. I like the Islander and Water cave parts the best.

Hm your right, probably I should put one in the dungeon, I think I forgot to put one of the two SW minfigs I own on that thing

Yeah, we had so much fun with the islanders statues - one depicting a mermaid and ther other master yoda himself!
