I guess most people are aware of ChatGPT and its abilities. I was wondering how knowledgable it is about BoBS, so did some testing. Enjoy the ride:

Do you know about Brethren of the Brick Seas?

Yes, I do know about Brethren of the Brick Seas (BoBS). It is a collaborative building and storytelling game that takes place in a fictional world of pirates and trade in the LEGO universe. BoBS is hosted on the Eurobricks forum, and it allows players to create their own characters, ships, and factions within the game world.

Players can participate in a variety of activities within BoBS, such as building MOCs (My Own Creations) of ships, ports, and other structures, as well as engaging in roleplaying and storytelling with other players. The game features a complex economy system, where players can trade goods and resources, establish trade routes, and build up their wealth and power over time.

BoBS is notable for its high level of community engagement and collaboration, as players work together to build and expand the game world through their creations and storytelling. The game has a strong emphasis on creativity and imagination, as players are encouraged to come up with their own unique characters and stories within the world of BoBS.

What can you tell me about Count Mesabi in BoBS?

According to the lore of BoBS, Count Mesabi is a descendant of an ancient Oleander noble family that has held significant power and influence in the Empire for centuries. He is known for his vast wealth, which he has amassed through his extensive trade and business ventures throughout the game world.

Count Mesabi is also a skilled diplomat and strategist, and he has played a significant role in the politics and conflicts of BoBS. He has been involved in numerous wars and power struggles, both within the Oleander Empire and with other factions in the game.

Are you sure? I remember Count Mesabi is of the WTC, and Corrington.

I apologize for the error in my previous response. You are correct that Count Mesabi is not associated with the Oleander Empire, but rather with the Westface Trading Company (WTC), which is a faction within the Brethren of the Brick Seas (BoBS) game.

According to BoBS lore, Count Mesabi is a wealthy and influential member of the WTC, which is a powerful trading company that operates throughout the game world. He is known for his shrewd business sense and his ability to negotiate profitable deals for the WTC.

Count Mesabi has played a significant role in the politics and conflicts of BoBS, particularly in the ongoing struggle for power and influence among the various factions in the game. He has been involved in numerous battles and diplomatic negotiations, and he has earned a reputation as a cunning and ruthless strategist.

I hope this clarification clears up any confusion, and I apologize for any inconvenience caused by my previous response.

What about the Wayfarer Trading Company?

The Wayfarer Trading Company (WTC) is a fictional faction within the Brethren of the Brick Seas (BoBS) game. It is a powerful trading company that operates throughout the game world, and it is known for its expertise in sea transport and commerce.

According to BoBS lore, the WTC was founded by a group of wealthy merchants and shipbuilders who sought to expand their influence and profits through trade and exploration. The company has since grown to become one of the most prominent factions in the game, with a strong presence in both the Old and New World.

The WTC is characterized by its focus on trade and diplomacy, and its members are skilled negotiators and diplomats who seek to establish profitable relationships with other factions in the game. Overall, the Wayfarer Trading Company is a significant faction within the world of BoBS, and it has contributed to the rich storytelling and worldbuilding that make the game so engaging and immersive for its players.

For those not overly familiar with the games lore: only the first two questions were answered correctly, the rest is complete nonsense. :pir_laugh2:

Seems like the good count has done some excellent PR with Chat gpt, except for the Oleon part :pir-grin:

But still impressive. We must have made some impact!

I experimented a bit with whether chatgpt could help make combat write-ups, and after inputting some information, it made some reasonable effort. It does require significant input (Ship types, etc.), though, so it was more for fun. I never ended up using it, but will keep an eye out going forward.

@Darnok has asked an artificial intelligence called Chat GPT to explain Eurobricks, BOBS and Count Mesabi. It failed at the last hurdle because no-one can explain Count Mesabi

On a serious note, Chat GPT might be a useful tool for anyone who wants to write more story for their builds, but doesn't know where to start.
