For a set this size, I'm honestly very surprised that it doesn't have any electronics That's a pretty welcome change of pace

What about the rear black blade? Is it mini LA operated? Or is it pneumatic, too?

The blade is actually at the front of the skidder. The skidder's only positioned that way on the box to show off the business end.

Also, the blade looks manual to me. Hard to say though, seeing as we haven't had a front shot of this 🐕 yet.

Finally something interesting after the never ending car borefest, but I'm not holding my breath until I see the price, which judging by the latest pneumatic set, the awful material handler, could be ridiculous. Also no B-model as usual is a no-go.

The price is 190€. So already inflated compared to the rumored 170-180$.

I love it!! At least 5 11x2 pneumatics colour matched to their location, 3x19 frames, some new A-frames, Daytona diffs (likely two of them if 4 wheel drive, think I can see the pinion gear for a rear diff) don't need them with their small gear reduction but looks much better than the bright red ones in this instance), and also love the regular green colour. Yup, gonna get straight away. 

Unless I'm missing something obvious I wonder what the yellow pins are, used to mount the rubber parts to the claws? I also wonder how the ripper thing is actuated. Hopefully there's another pneumatic in there . The articulated joint looks fairy solid with the 3x19 frames sandwiched between two large turntables. 

EDIT: I was missing something kinda obvious, those are not some new yellow pin but actually look like axle holes with a red 2M axle.

Strange, that they made pretty specific gripper parts, but still there are used many parts to connect them to pneumatic cylinder.

There's a horizontal XL 2x11 cylinder in the grapple.

I meant the black thing at the other end. At the moment it's tied for second (with 8868) for most pneumatic cylinders in a set with 5.

That's a blade meant for pushing/ rolling around logs, light grading and supporting the skidder in rough terrain while grabbing logs.

To me it looks like another grey cylinder attached to it somewhat hidden behind the panels.

I really like this!  Lego has done a nice job replicating the real thing, and I’m a sucker for green parts.

Except for the 8455 Backhoe, with its out-there 10 cylinders!
