Aussie sales! Share the news of LOCAL sales!

Hey fellow lego fans! You guys should really consider purchasing lego from the US. It's a lot cheaper and you can get almost every theme you want. Not sure if you can access the US lego store site from Australia, but give this link a go anyway to check out the prices: http://shop.lego.com/en-US/

Thanks for letting us know. What happens though is that we are directed to the AU lego store (en-AU), and so are unable to access US pricing.

Pretty sure we would all do that if it was possible by now

Garden City (Qld) Visit today:

First day of TRU catalogue:

* Shelves run out of the half-priced helicopter --- saw one lady's trolley with 3+ of them in there. TRU are notorious for having insufficient stock for the good deals---try asking another retailer to match their catalogue or try Aspley Hypermarket.

* Only about ~20 Series 11 (green bags) minifigs (near the checkout).

DJs--- 20% off until this Sunday 8th (all full priced lego except Creator)

* has many of the large sets (e.g. Opera House, Modular buildings, trains)

* has many of the smaller architecture sets

* Has the two smaller Monster Fighter sets

Big W

* Has some damaged boxes Super Heroes (but otherwise complete) reduced (not by much though) ---either on the clearance rack near the back, or on the Lego area shelf.

* Has the large yellow minifigure display case (large 16x with 4x6 white plates) for $15.

* Yes. Big W has the new Ninjago sets

Kmart

Nothing exciting today. Some lego are on sale starting tomorrow (see catalogue).

In Adelaide Myer they had 20% off toys (I didn't notice any Lego exclusions) and had the Opera House (the good one as well as the dud), big X-wing, Sopwith Camel, Mini Modulars and Horizon Express. Also while you're there check out the great displays done by Australia's only Lego certified professional, Ryan McNaught.

I got Dol Guldar Battle and Mirkwood Elf Army today at Target with 20% off. They had LTC but it didn't really appeal to me as I'm more into monsters/army type figures. No sign of the smaller Dol Guldar set there though, although Toys R US had it on shelf at full price.

Cheapest option is MYER with the current 20% off sale, assuming there is a MYER you can get to that has stock.

David Jones will work too if you can convince the staff to price-match MYER.

Not sure if all DJs have the sale, but at least Garden City (Qld) already has 20% off all lego (except Creator) until Sun 8th Dec.

On Wednesday, the DJs there did have both the large and lil' architecture Opera House sets.

Thought i better register as ive been lurking this thread for nearly 2 years :look:

Big W are having a 1 day sale tomorrow (Sat Dec 7th)

They have TMNT 79101 and 79102 for $19 each

Today i found all 4 hobbit sets in my local BigW .. Mirkwood elf army, Dol Guldur Ambush, Dol Gul Battle and Lake town. Could be good to check out seeing how BigW has a one day sale on Saturday.

The nearby Target still hasn't had set 79011 Dol Guldur Ambush in.

Has anyone received their copy of the LEGO club magazine? Apparently it has the 2014 catalog in it, and it would be really helpful to know some street dates for new sets.
