Apart from breaking set down for parts these look like they’d be better for City/Amusement Park builds than Pirates.

Aye, the base looks more substantial as the ship part of the set!

tbh the only useful thing in this set would be the torso, windows and the flag

edit. that being said - it's cute

I don’t know I’d go that far. There’s a sextant, bicorn pirate hat, telescope they used for the mast thingy on the bow and bricks an pieces are always useful even as filler.

Jeez, how many of those 2009 Captain Hats does LEGO still have? 😂 TLG just keeps on randomly throwing them into various exclusives to this day, lol

Too many!
But that appears to be the version of the Jolly Roger they're using these days.

Let us pause for a moment in reemergence to the original version:

What's crazy is that they're using the 2009 design on the bicorne but the 2020 POBB design on the flag! :pir_laugh2:

Which is a better one between the two, if u ask me! Nothing beats the original non-childish design of the Classic Pirates era, and I get that we ain't coming back to that one ever probably (I understand what LEGO's up to nowadays), but the 2020's version is, perhaps, the best possible balance TLG could've found between cartoonish "HEY, LOOK: WE'RE A CHILDREN TOY!" approach of 2009-2015 & the OG design 👌🏻

When will it be gift with purchase in Europe?

Don't get your hopes up!

Your best bet is to buy it directly through somewhere like eBay.
