LMAO, full in-hand pictures.

That's what happens when you hold off the pictures for too long. Really curious why they still haven't revealed them.

Nice to get a better look at the 501st - I was surprised to see they've (correctly) coloured the detail box on the Officer's back in blue but left it plain on the other troopers. I'd presume that's because his blue belt meant they'd already have to use blue printing on both sides of the torso to make it look right, so they went ahead and filled in the box too since they were already using blue there. Personally I'm actually glad the heavy still just has the plain back box instead, as that way it'll match the upcoming Hot Toys figure of him!

The heavy's backpack piece print is also really rather nice, liking that.

Macrobinoculars whilst not perfect look fine, including when flipped up by the looks of things which is the main thing for me, as long as they're not moved all the way back. Some embossed writing (probably the Lego copyright & the part number) looks a bit thick on the underside but that could the angle & lighting from the video making it look worse than it is. Still looking forward to it, and great to get a spare, look's like I'll be giving them to my 2022 212th squad after all

Regardless of their strategy going into it, they should have done official reveals the second those images leaked.

The big crab creatures also look like a good set choice.

Definitely a lot of set potential here! I hope they release at least one set next summer, but I’d prefer a smaller set or two this time round

No to mention the crabs like @PRbrickbuilder mentioned, the horizon zero dawn longneck, Gungi, and those colorful troopers that confront the clones. There's a TON of material here.

I think there's definately at least one set coming next summer, though I agree that smaller ones would be nice. My only worry is that with 6 main characters (The Batch all in new outfits + crosshair), we won't get some of the other figs like TK troopers or Cody, much less non-major characters like Scorch or Gungi.

Box pictures for the bomber have leaked in the usual place.  Confirmed that is it Sloane as the admiral.   This does look like a pretty good set.

This is insane, the value for $65 is miles ahead what we usually get. There's a bombing feature, it doesn't seem too small, the fuselages are long enough, the figures are solid, etc. There doesn't seem to be a catch, but this set honestly just feels too good to be true.

I'm glad vice admiral sloane is actually VA sloane and not a random officer.

I feel the same way.

This feels like some sort of cruel joke where LEGO will either not release the set or reset the price.

While there is more in the trailer that I would like to see made, I just listed the most likely candidates for actual sets.

Those are droids (they look similar to L3-37, but bulkier).

The Bomber really looks good! Rae Sloane is credited as a Vice Admiral, so I wonder if she has a five-over-five rank plaque (I cannot tell from the current blurry pictures), and the TIE Pilot has a new helmet print (though it does not appear to be a new mould) and new leg printing. My only qualms with this set are Rae Sloane's hair (which should have been a new, curlier, piece) and Vader's lack of arm printing (at least, it does not look like he has any).

LifeBricks (reviewer of the 501st Battle Pack and Slave I Microfighter) will have the TIE Bomber in-hand by Saturday, and he will be posting a live build and a review of the set (also on Saturday). From his YouTube:

Jedi: Survivor trailer dropped!
In addition to redesigns of Cal and Cere, a new ally for Cal (not sure of his name), a MagnaGuard, a couple of people who seem to be bounty hunters or warlords (one of whom is wielding the other half of Cal's lightsaber!), some B1s, a brown Wampa, DT-series Sentry Droids, and a blue crossguard lightsaber also appear.
Stormtroopers, stun baton Scout Troopers, KX-series Security Droids, a Police Gunship, and the Stinger Mantis all return from the first game; no Inquisitors or Purge Troopers, though (oddly, since this is supposed to take place in the same year as the Kenobi series). 🤔

I feel like Lego would be absolutely insane not to make Cody given his popularity. I could see them waiting until 2024 since the Republic Cody is still new, but he's bound to be a big draw in any set they put him in.

No offense If I would worked at LEGO and read this I would be so confused that there are people who aren´t satysfied when something is relatively cheap. :D So I hope that they don´t bump up the price after this.

As I mentioned before, that TIE bomber is looking really good but to be honest, the fact that people are thinking "what's the catch?" is an indicator of how expensive Lego usually is. I for one am just happy for the people who want it that it's not overpriced like some other sets out there (*cough* Ambush on Ferrix *cough*).

@Classic_Spaceman That trailer looks AMAZING. I started my third playthrough of Fallen Order yesterday to prepare for Survivor and forgot how great the game is.

If we don’t get any sets for this series in the summer wave, I’ll be sorely disappointed. I partially think we got the buildable BD-1 this year because Lego would rather hold off for another year before making a System-scale Jedi set so there would be a more current piece of media for it to align against. I’m still of the opinion that the Justifier was a letdown and should’ve been the Mantis instead, but at least we got Cad, Todo, and Omega out of it.

So having seen the review for the 501st Specialists, is anyone else surprised at how blatantly Lego is being misleading with the officer? I know packaging art usually touches up things like print quality, but this is the first example I can think of where the package art shows an inaccurate arrangement of physical pieces with the rangefinder. It’s like they themselves know how off it looks on the real thing.

On the topic of the summer wave, looks like next year will be quite dense with SW content. Bad Batch S2, Mando S3, Jedi: Survivor, Ahsoka, Visions S2, Skeleton Crew, and potentially the Acolyte.

No doubt it’ll be impossible to keep up with all this in a single summer wave, but at least Mando is more or less covered with the two March sets.

Without speculating too much, I’d imagine Ahsoka will be treated in a similar way to Kenobi this year. With the Clone Wars anniversary coinciding with the show, I think we might get a Clone Wars Ahsoka.

I still think Mando s3 will get more than the two sets rumoured. The trailer shows the first episode, and maybe the second max. So many unknowns that will certain translate into exciting sets.

On a separate note, that Tie Bomber looks so juicy. I think Lego have done a wonderful job. It has such a classic feel to it, and I’m sure on display this thing will look fantastic.

Agreed! It would be the perfect time to get a new mould for her montrails. The oversized Shaak-Ti one just doesn’t work.

I love this franchise, man. Started with "People are telling me I look like the guy, and the droid looks cool" and now I've played it on the hardest difficulty multiple times, have done almost everything there is to do in the game, etc. The new game looks absolutely incredible! I love what I presume is the opening of Cal and BD crashing the mantis with that sweeping shot as they look out onto a new world. All the new story beats and gameplay additions look excellent, and you can definately tell how this game will be 130gb. Are the only planets confirmed this main one and Coruscant? I don't think we saw anything that was definitively another planet in the gameplay.

And they BETTER make sets. Lots of large creatures, interesting terrain, and the same excellent ships from the first game.

That's what we said about P2 cody for 17 years!

But I think they will make him if they can slot him into any BB sets at all, especially since he no longer requires a new mold.

I....uh... I don't think you understood. I was saying it's crazy that it's priced so low. It's great, it's just not something lego star wars typically does. I'm happy, I'm just confused.

Ah, but you've forgotten, we're celebrating the OTHER clone wars this year!

Jokes aside (and a logically inconsistent one at that, we're already celebrating two anniversaries in the January wave alone, no reason they couldn't tack on a third), I think you could be right. Ahsoka's easy to slot into any clone wars era set.

I'm not even a huge fan of The Bad Batch but I would really like to get more sets from it because there's so much material to work with. The Justifer was a total waste, though those new and exclusive figures are neat. (Funnily enough, I should be getting that set today. I got it for free essentially thanks to my VIP points.) If we could get those two ships with a bunch of those figures, I'd be satisfied. I can definitely see Imperial Cody coming just so Lego can get some extra brownie points by making another new Commander Cody figure.

The game looks fantastic. I've loved the first game ever since I attended the Celebration 2019 panel and I can't wait until this sequel comes out. (I'll have to borrow someone else's console to play it though...) So much material for Lego to work with if they so choose. Because of the existence of BD-1, I feel like the Stinger Mantis is somewhat of a lock for the next year, though I'm not sure if it'll include figures based on Fallen Order or Survivor. Lots of cool designs Lego could include in additional sets too, I'd definitely like an Imperial Police Gunship and some playsets. I'm sure we'll still see Purge Troopers in this game at least. The tie-in novel Battle Scars has OWK's Phase 2 Purge Troopers on the cover, as well as the Fifth Brother. I thought this game would have been a good place for Fourth Sister to show up since that was a new character in OWK and did very little with her, but we'll see.

I definitely expect sets from the first four, and then some Clone Wars and ROTJ 40th Anniversary related stuff to fill the year. (Hopefully some additional Andor stuff too but that remains to be seen.) Visions S1 didn't get any sets and I don't expect sets from S2 either. Skeleton Crew will probably be late 2023 so we might not get anything in Lego form until 2024, especially since that show's new spaceship seems like prime flagship set material. The Acolyte only just started filming so nothing from that until 2024 either. As for Mando Season 3, it took a while for Lego to do more "spoilery" sets for Mando Season 2 so I don't expect much more aside from another set or two until 2024 either.

I think Lego/Hasbro are using this Clone Wars 20th Anniversary as a catch-all for every Clone Wars related story. From what both companies have revealed so far, they seem to mostly be focusing on 2008 TCW though which makes this whole situation even more perplexing. Like that updated TCW Mace Windu we got this year, I could definitely see us getting an updated version of Clone Wars-era Ahsoka in a random set to tie-in with the anniversary and her upcoming series.

As for the new TIE Bomber pics, I think it looks even better than before. Reasonably sized, well detailed, nice play features and an okay minifigure selection. I do think it's funny that they threw the ROTJ 40 logo on the box when it's clearly an ESB set. My biggest gripe is Lego cheaping out and giving us a plain Vader without the arm printing like they did with last year's Imperial Shuttle. I already own three of the sets that included Vader with the arm printing but it's still so annoying when they pull stuff like this; you'd think it would take even more effort to produce other versions of the same torso without the printed arms. And it's not even a situation where they're saving it for the big, expensive sets as this summer's $50 OWK duel set includes a Vader with arm printing and an exclusive face print. Fingers crossed that is another situation like the recent Advent Calendar, where the renders didn't show arm printing on the exclusive beach Vader but the physical figure did. Won't hold my breath though.

I'm so pleasantly surprised to see we're getting Admiral Sloane. I'm not sure we've ever had a minifig that's basically been in no visual media before? I'm aware she was in Squadrons, but that was quite a niche game.
