Spud The Viking Posted June 19, 2022 (edited) The classroom bell rings and the children of Spudkirk clamber out the tall dark door to have fun in the playground. Some play hopscotch and some play with a skipping rope. The Spudkirk Primary School is situated down the road from the fancier buildings such as the Bank and ETTC House, except this one is painted orange. The schoolmaster keeps an eye on the young ones. Fraunces Posted June 19, 2022 Very nice addition to the town of Spudkirk! I like te bigger building to be in the same style! The flowerbins are nice, as well as the main entrance. One minor remark: only the roof I would've with less irregularities.

I agree about the roof, but I really couldn't be bothered putting the tiles on and off Maybe it reflects the condition of many Primary Schools' roofing haha! NOD Posted June 20, 2022 Nice architecture and colour. I particularly like that the year can be seen at the main entrance. The little girl on the right is running. Are there legs that size that can be moved?

Darnok Posted June 20, 2022 Nice one! I actually like the slightly irregular roof, otherwise it might look a bit too clean. So... is the WTC monopoly on Corrington education broken? And yeah, I think the HP line introduced "half-height" legs that can move normally but are shorter than the standard legs.

Thank you, I agree with the roof, too many "clean" ones gets repetitive! And I was not aware the WTC had a monopoly on what our nation specialises in? Jeff of Clubs Posted June 21, 2022 A fine civil structure. Reminds me of my old school. Fits well with Corrington's theme and adds some character to Spudkirk.
evancelt Posted June 21, 2022 Nice work, @Spud The Viking! A GoC from me. Love seeing the year built into the front face of the building. I like the light bley bits poking out of the orange, which itself is a fun and unusual color that adds an interesting element to the build. The brick-built windows are fun, too, though I wonder how the children inside feel about being kept behind bars! Good use of clips/bars in the angles around the central roof. Does that hold the roof plates in place? The ground looks very clean and proper, which seems strange to me because I often try to make the ground look weathered. But makes sense for a new building! Overall, nice addition to the education builds of the Brick Seas!

Overall, nice addition to the education builds of the Brick Seas! Thanks, Evancelt! I had a few orange plates from a PAB cup years ago and thought I'd use them for the vibrant theme of Spudkirk. Yeah, the clips hold the roof pieces in place. I could have spent a lot longer adding details like weathering but I don't want every build of mine to sit around for months (this is probably my quickest moc for a long time as I had it conceptualised to uploading in less than three weeks) Also, @Ayrlego if you could please licence this for Corrington as a medium education, thank you! Kai NRG Posted June 23, 2022 The orange here is great, really works well with the tan. Nice lettering too.
Khorne Posted June 23, 2022 Nice little build. I like the headmaster surveying the playing kids and the overall atmosphere of the build. The lettering on the front gives it very school-y feeling.
