NEW LEGO Movie: The Missing Piece

Recommended Posts

There is a new LEGO Movie in the works

But I'm not even sure if Universal is involved in this??

I was guessing they got the rights just to include LEGO Spiderman in the next ACROSS THE SPIDERVERSE or something. Not something like this

I’m not a big fan of the premise to be honest. Ironically, it sounds very familiar to the bland Playmobil movie that came out a couple years ago. It also sounds more like a made-for-TV special than a feature film, but we’ll see.

I just feel that Warner Bros had lightning in a bottle with their Lego films and I have doubts that Universal will be able to capture that. Sure, WB’s four films ranged in quality, but I still really enjoyed all four. I could be wrong though; maybe this movie will end up being on par. Fingers crossed I suppose.

I would that movie definitely watch, if they goes with parody route.

Franchise that would definitely benefit from lego parody is Fast and Furious. Maybe James Bond cam blend into it and made it over the top agents parody flick.

Not mentions these IPs have sets in lego form already...

Well, The Billion Brick Race should have been a Fast and Furious parody.

"However, when a malicious AI from within the present escapes"

That's a jump, just heard of this premise and this sounds weird

I think it is interesting to think about how far they'll choose to put distance between this one and the original, LEGO is so tied to certain things from the first film that are still generally used as key parts of their brand image (see: Everything is Awesome)
