[MOC] Traditional Japanese House (Kawarabuki jûtaku)

Recommended Posts

Incredible and beautiful build! I've been looking at a lot of Japanese houses lately and this is the most realistic representation I've seen made out of LEGO bricks! Kudos!! :excited:

Great work, it looks really well and captures the look and feel of a real traditional Japanese house, all important exterior parts look great.

I don't think I would build in this scale as other building would require the same scale, but as a model of one house you did really well.

Excellent! It’s so lifelike it almost doesn’t look like LEGO.

Does it have an interior?

Hello, and thak you for your comment :sweet:

In this version, i had not worked on interior. The entrance door can be opened that's all.

But, i will work may be on a new version with interior.

hello and thank you for comment.

The scale is always a big question and in general it takes long time to have the definitive size... I agree that if i want to create a typical japanese street with some houses, it could be complicate

Now, i work on some details i want to do better... And i try also to finish my two other projects which are two parts of a typical korean temple. Long work too

@teyubi Yes I'm still planning to build a Japanese street (not historic per se, but can include some historic buildings) someday and I will definitely not use this scale, as that would require everything scaled up (and use a lot more bricks ).

Good luck with some improvements that you are planning to make.

Maybe you should make your photos public on flicker, so more people can view them (instead of only via the direct link in this topic).

This is one of the most accurate Japanese style architecture I've ever seen done in Lego. Absolutely outstanding creation!

Thank you

Hello,

After some weeks on my other project (Korean Temple), i came back to this project of a Japanese house.
Listening some comments, I worked about the interior of the house. Basically, i had to rebuild a great part of the project, because the interior of the first version was just here to make the external walls possible.

So, here it is the new version...

First level interior:
