cjtonic Posted October 29, 2021 This is my first Pirates MOC: The Conquered Outpost. While designing it I realized how much fun I had back in there days when playing with the original Pirates sets. Here's the story: This Imperial outpost was once conquered by the pirates who have ever since been living there. Only recently they discovered that there was this treasure cave underneath the small island (it took some time before someone dared to move the skeleton sitting in front of the entrance door ;-)) The model consists of the island, the small cave with the treasure hidden in the back behind the skeleton and a small house with fireplace and bedroom for the soldiers (now pirates) I hope you like it. If you are interested, instructions are available through rebrickable.com. More images are in my Flickr album.
The Neighborhood Merchant Posted October 29, 2021 I really like the look of your build. It definitely looks like a modern version of the smaller size pirate sets Lego used to make. I especially love the open cave. Very cool!
PxChris Posted October 29, 2021 Very nicely done! I too like the integration between the building and the rocky landscape.
NOD Posted October 29, 2021 It's great how you integrated the Outpost into the rocks and caves. It is a beautiful scenario, in which there is something interesting to see from all sides.
Captain Braunsfeld Posted October 29, 2021 Fine creation that takes the classic pirate feel to the 2020s. Just one thing: where is the monkey?
Capt Wolf Posted October 29, 2021 7 hours ago, cjtonic said: This is my first Pirates MOC Well, that's quite the first impression! As others have said, it instantly takes me back to those Classic Pirates sets, but with a 2020s flair. Wonderful design with it built into the rocks. I really like the back side with the hidden underground elements. Looks like it has good play value!

jan kusters Posted November 1, 2021 This looks fantastic! Not too big, very nice detail, and the combination with a treasure cave is a great idea!
thewatchman Posted November 1, 2021 Absolutely love this build. I was trying to build something recently for a shipwreck dock, and used the same archway and rock outcrops but I like yours more!

I must say, this MOC is really lovely, it's good to appreciate the smaller things on this forum and this one is just amazing, especially the cave underneath it all. Good job! Thank you so much @Jack Sassy. This is surely the coolest thing that happened to me in my Lego life after the dark ages. Being featured in your blog is really an honor. A very entertaining blog entry by the way. Thanks again!
