Power XL motor vs Control+ XL motor

Can a Control+ XL motor substitute a Power XL motor in technics set?

Only if you have a C+ battery box. Plus you'll need to reconfigure both models to fit it and the motor.

You would have to make or get a PU to PF adapter if you want to keep the PF battery box in those sets.

Also the PF XL and PU XL motors have totally different output speeds/torque levels.
