The only thing I don’t like about Bib Chungus’ Throne Room is that it changed my perspective on the 2HY sets: Since TBoBF gets its first (and so far only) proper set months after the first season has concluded, where does this leave us with sets based on Kenobi and Andor?  Or so they consider these two to be less spoilery shows?

I’d be shocked if there’s any sets based on them, unless they release (the series) before June-August. Disney won’t allow the spoilers, especially for Kenobi.

I suppose technically the Boba Fett ship could be a "soft pilot" for TBoBF sets.  Anecdotally, that set seems to be selling extremely well around me, I've only seen it in stores a couple of times (whereas the Bad Batch and Mandalorian ships and the Ahsoka duel set have been plentiful) and it's been out for like six months.

I could maybe see an Andor set if it's based on a vehicle we've already seen (I'm betting that a U-Wing shows up in that show again, which would be a fantastic excuse to give us another one of those, though it would have different minifigures), but I feel like Kenobi will be kept under wraps pretty tightly.

Kenobi is an interesting subject because unlike shows like Mando, TBoBF, and Andor, Lucasfilm themselves have already revealed a fair amount about the show, namely a certain rematch and Kenobi not necessarily staying on Tatooine. Not to mention the concept art we saw on Disney+ Day that was already shown to investors a whole year prior.

Based on that, I’d genuinely be surprised if Lego hadn’t received any Kenobi material in time for giving us us a Kenobi set this summer, though I wouldn’t put it past Lucasfilm knowing them! Never mind the fact that there’s a lot of anticipation behind this show that they’d be foolish not to capitalise on.

QuiggoldsPegLeg thought it was encouraging that TLG put in the effort to create a Quarren mould when they could just as well have included a Weequay minifig instead, to which jdubbs replied that "[both] would surely be too much to ask for" with his signature sarcastic undertone, implying he knew what was coming

The article does not state that there will be a new Weequay head mold. I'm glad there won't be because that would be a waste, they are humanoid enough so the standard Lego head is fine.

Alright, given recent circumstances and the fact that Lego rarely ever does one wave about a thing and forgets (at least in SW) I’ve been kind of wondering, what are the odds we see another Mando season 2 set this season?

awesome, I love the wacky backstories of these background guys. Speaking of the monks, I wonder if any are included in the set. It's a small build that they can count as a "figure", so it seems like something they could do.

Given that they put Bib Chungus's lekku on a dancer's head, i think it's possible the cape will be included and he just didn't swipe one, it kinda looks like he just swiped only the new molds/prints he could get access too.

Nah, we don't need a new weequay mold. They're really humanoid-looking, essentially just wrinkly bald men, it's nothing printing can't handle.

Usually, leaked figures don’t include cloth accessories like that, so the actual set may come with one.

Really, the only other (feasible) sets I can think of for Mando Season Two are still Cobb Vanth’s Speeder and some of the larger Imperial ships like the Gozanti freighter or the troop lander (the latter of which which I find unlikely). Really, I don’t even think Cobb Vanth’s Speeder is too likely right now unless him and that vehicle show up again somewhere. It would be a nice way to get Tusken Boba though. Hopefully we still get a Mando version of Ahsoka somewhere though, since I’m sure she’ll have a new outfit for her own series.

Those Dark Trooper play features actually sound pretty neat. I was thinking of making a MOC out of this scene using the parts and figures from this set but I might just go with the Lego version if it looks nice.

And that Boba Fett Palace minifigure selection sounds pretty great. Lots of variety with aliens, most of which we haven’t gotten recent versions of. I hope Lego is still able to cover some of the actual TBOBF characters in the June set and any other ones we might get.

While the Dark Trooper corridor sounds nice, it definitely won't feel like a 30€ set. Hate that scene, so an easy pass.

My hype for Throne Room has gone downhill tbh. While it sounds like a really good set, it just feels less interesting than it could have been. Also, Boba should've been updated. He looks awful with two different colours of his armour - just choose one of them.

Since the Palace is based on the end of Mando Season 2, I wonder what the $60 set will be (since it seems that LEGO is avoiding any spoiler content for the first wave of sets). 🤔
Also, now that we have a Quarren mould, I hope that we get a fishing boat set at some point!

Glad to see more classic OT aliens being introduced. The Quarren looks fantastic and has been a long time coming. Will be interesting to see if he winds up being just a generic henchman or as Tessek who survived the Sail Barge explosion. Rystall Sant is also a great addition. Hopefully if the palace ever gets the MBS treatment her inclusion opens the door for Lyn Me and Greeata also getting figures one day.

Hasbro confirmed in a Q&A there is no merchandise ban. She's still appeared in new product since the Disney buyout (just not as frequently) as well as media such as the Galaxy of Adventures cartoon. She was a contender last year for a Black Series action figure re-release and only lost out to Commander Cody.

As far as Lego goes the "Slave Leia" name is irrelevant as she's only ever referred to as "Princess Leia" on the toy packaging regardless what costume she comes in. Any UCS/MBS set of Jabba's Palace and Sail Barge would be under the 18+ branding and the costume itself is no more revealing in Lego form than what came in the City "Fun at the Beach" set.

Now the Sail Barge might only need 2 or 3 new moulds*. (For J’Quille and Saelt-Marae, and maybe an Ishi-Tib) There are 8 or so old moulds that they’d need to bring back, but I’d think that bringing those back would be cheaper than designing an entirely new mould. (The old ones being Jabba, Bib Fortuna, Salacious Crumb, Leia’s Hair, Lando’s Helmet, Ree-Yees, Max Rebo, and the Gamorreans)

I don't think they'd bother bringing back Bib's old headpiece when they can just use the new one. The fatter shape might be inaccurate to ROTJ but it wouldn't be any different to Season 7 Ahsoka using Shaak Ti's headpiece.

The same could apply to the Gammorreans depending on how the new figure turns out. If they do away with the sandwich board approach and mold only the head then any differences between the ROTJ and Mandalorian/TBOBF costumes can be depicted with just the torso printing.

Ah, now those leaked BoBF minifigs that have been floating around make sense. That’s Bib Fortuna’s headpiece, but the rest of the minifig belongs to Rystáll.

Assuming they’re legit, the molded Quarren head looks very nice too.

People keep forgetting that the last time Hasbro released Slave (sorry, Huttslayer) Leia, the fig warmed pegs in massive quantities at every Target, Walmart, and TRU in the US — in both 3¾" and 6" scales, pretty much simultaneously. People like to imagine there is some Disney conspiracy against the character (despite a statue of her adorning Kathleen Kennedy's desk) because it's more dramatic than the reality that the character just didn't sell well as an action figure (or at least, it didn't sell in the numbers Hasbro through it would...)

And yes, the whole “Disney hates Slave/Huttslayer Leia and is censoring the outfit” narrative is definitely false. If I recall correctly, the whole “controversy” sprung from some parents complaining that there was a bunch of scantily-clad Leia figures clogging up the Star Wars toy section (like @jdubbs pointed to) and didn’t want such a toy to be presented to their children. It was super blown out of proportion. Lego does minifigures in swimsuits all the time; the only reason they haven’t done a new version of Leia in this outfit is because there’s been no new ROTJ Jabba’s Palace/Sail Barge sets in years.
 

Anyway, I can’t wait to see these March sets. We should be seeing them anytime in the next few weeks.

As of now, there's no real concrete information on the summer wave other than set numbers, prices (which are often subject to change) and piece counts for some of them.  I'm sure that we will get more sets at some point, but whether they come in the summer wave or a future release depends on what else is in the summer wave.
