samurai-turtle Posted September 18, 2021 I believe the staff can only start these type of threads. They like to have edit control on this type of stuff, you could disappear for some reason. This drought has gone on for too long! I've gotten to the point where I don't even check it anymore because I just always assume there won't be anything new. It really does seem like Lego has gotten better at keeping things from getting out, which is good for them but not so much for us. I wonder if we'll even see leaks before the sets are officially revealed; at this point we're only a month out from around when we see the official images. The new one that has leaked has more of a breastplate design, but also is a black head with orange colouring, unlike the book snake that had an orange head with grey colouring. Very interested to see the sets! I guess promobircks (who provided the leaks) were just not describing the variety. Except for the water snakes we did get at least always 2 sets of prints! Anyway, I do find it cool we get the snake heads in different colours (4 so far?!) but the designs and prints overall are not my cup of tea. Fingers crossed this year I can finally save money!! Lyichir Posted November 14, 2021 The color scheme of these new snakes reminds me (positively) of some similarly colored Bionicle sets from back in the day. The metallic colors used for them could probably make these heads great for metal statuary or sculpture in MOCs (sort of like how the recent Chamber of Secrets set in the Harry Potter theme used grey and trans-green recolors of the hooded version). What do we all think the suits are gonna be like? I'm personally putting a bet on nothing specific, no specialised suits like MotM or Seabound, but something like a cross between season 11 and maybe an "honour suit", like legacy 1 (Zane was wearing some sort of elemental robe on the book cover, but I don't know if that would be the main suit. Best guess is it comes in the spinjitzu training set that has zane in like an elemental powered up form, performing an attack and is in fact not his normal robe). I personally believe that this season is gonna be a set up season, with a host of short episodes that sets up the vengestone finale arc for the summer, and so the Ninja suits wouldn't need to be anything special. I think the ninja find the snake villain from the book leading the snakes that leaked today, and at the final mini movie its all revealed that the snake leader from the book is all but a puppet, or someone like Char, and we get a small glimpse at whats to come like we saw Morro at the end of ToE. but thats just my theory. Either way with what Tommy tweeted and the fact that the set names seem to be really mediocre, I just think its logical that all of this is simply the start to something much greater. Tommy said that season 16 is gonna be a conclusion, and with lego confirming Seabound is in fact season 14, I think the episodes could slot right in to the season 15 mark, and then season 16 is the finale to the vengestone arc. The only problem I see is that when Tommy was asked to describe season 16 and he said conclusion, I feel as if he was referring to the winter 2022 instalment, not the summer one. But back to the main question, what does everyone think the new suits are gonna be like? I'd like to hear some ideas before it gets confirmed in the coming days. I don't want to get my hopes up, as I have a feeling its just a redesigned ball and socket joint, but im really hoping this is a new 'stiffer' joint part that would make building mechs a lot easier. Evo seems to be a new type of Legacy, smaller scaled down versions of older sets, or set concepts. I think the EVO rebranding is probably done so they can include villains from the current year, all the EVO sets have 1-2 snakes included. Lets hope we get the ninjago set pics soon as well! Those redesigned socket pieces are also in the rendered images of the What if? mechs, even thought the sets themselves use the old mold. However, since the irl pics of this set also have the new pieces, it looks like they'll start using them now. Like you said, hopefully they have more friction. As for EVO, I have my own theory that they are 5+ sets, like what we've seen in the city line over the past 2 years. It would line up with the fewer pieces and '4+' look that Promobricks described. I assume so, maybe they did the renaming so they can have some more design freedom, in terms of size and what villains are included as the description all seem to say scaled down and snakes included. 2021 legacy has a mix of all sorts of villains as the sets they are based on come from different seasons.
