Wellesley Posted May 27, 2021 I reworked to of my older ships, the 'Lipizzana' and the 'Lydia'. Also I built a little steam tugboat and had some fun with a Fabuland rowboat. As the first two ships already are posted in the BoBS-subforum and the other two are too simple to deverse an own thread, I thought to share them all here. I added a jib- and a topsail, anchors and a little hatch: I removed the bowsprit and the two foresails from the 'Lydia': The tugboat: This one is more of a fun build. Whenever I decide to add sails, I'll probably use another solution for mast and rigging:
evancelt Posted May 28, 2021 (edited) Awesome! Are the rubberbands in the blue ship structural? Edited May 28, 2021 by evancelt
Wellesley Posted May 28, 2021 @evancelt Yes, they are. It is a technique I saw at @kurigan's 'Nuisance'. Originally it seems to stem from @SlyOwl.
kurigan Posted May 29, 2021 I see what ya did there, the cross bow is an anchor . A pick axe works too. I like what you've done with Lydia. The rigging is superb in its completeness. Thanks for the shout-out Dave
Stoertebricker Posted May 31, 2021 That are some neat ships! The rigging is very well. The horse is quite funny but for me it somehow does not fit because the ships looks so realistic all around... The tug-boat uses the old parts in a nice way, too. Only the front window line could be done better when using diefferent windows but the old ones have their own style, too. All very different. The yellow boat I have as well, as a kid I never had the figure and no catalogue showing it, I was always very confused by that boat and where it came from!
