LEGO Star Wars 2021 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

I'll have a crack at that one. The shine is wearing off and in a couple of years Lego won't be on his radar. He's already said before now that his interest has been financial rather than with any real interest in the subject matter or the product. He just managed to find an audience that got him paid enough.

He's already started to try and review Black Series stuff and move into reviewing other collectibles. Horribly. There are people who have good knowledge of Star Wars as well as particular products and if you don't know a great deal about either you're not going to last.

Well not necessarily, again with putting words in my mouth on these stupid threads. While I certainly have a financial interest to keep making LEGO videos it's far from the sole reason. I still love LEGO Star Wars like its my kid and will continue to collect it for the rest of my life. However the way I feel the way I was treated by LEGO has put a sour taste in my mouth (agree or disagree as you may you'd feel slighted if you were me too) & that's hard to get rid of hence my new drive to find new passions. See: Black Series <3 10/10 would recommend btw. It's a hobby channel not a "career" channel that has to last as you say. (Although that channel is performing better than 95% of YT channels in LAN but who's keeping score?) I'm doing it because I like it, wether you think the videos. are good or not I'm having fun and you're mad at that? If you know so much start you're own channel, Einstein! It's fun!

That could well be the case, there has to be a reason MandR voluntarily relinquishes the opportunity for a scoop video :shrug_oh_well:

However, it’s also a bit of a gamble. As we’ve seen before, sets can sometimes leak or get revealed out of nowhere, so holding back info for strategic purposes can backfire if it gets out elsewhere

I chose not to. Other people do the same, go ask David Hall since he claims to have the same source I do (he does not lol). I literally shared all the Summer Sets three months ago and got called a liar. Y'all wonder why I won't share lmaooooo this thread is just full of people looking to discredit everything I say, keep it up. You're right I'm just making things up for views. :)

Hi Ryan, didn’t you break the rules etc of LAN by sharing the content you did in January? (Actions have consequences surely you know this?) - again not fully informed on the situation so if I am wrong then sorry.

I am also pretty sure a very small minority called you a liar, whilst a large section of the community was excited by the news and thanked you for the informative video. So you’re holding info back simply because of that small minority?

Ryan you’re appreciated by many people which your YouTube a channel clearly demonstrates, so I don’t really buy what you’re saying. Again mentioning the exclusivity of your source feeds into many of the arguments on the previous pages which you chose to ignore.

Either way hope to hear some news on this set soon from anyone in all honesty.

With Star wars The Bad Batch on the way certainly LEGO is going to make sets out of it. most likely the shuttle set will probly not have the Bad batch with their helmets and the reason why i think this is because in the sizzle reel and the trailer they where not wearing the helmets. In the sizzle reel they show a new type of clone trooper which looked like a death trooper version of a phase II clone. I think that that would be a really good battlepack thing like the 501st battle pack (thanks @MandRproductions). ether way LEGO has to put those death trooper clones in some how. do you think my guesses are good? leave you guessed down below! :D

Wow. This escalated quickly. I have to be away from my computer for a few hours so I'm locking the thread to make sure nothing goes off the rails while I'm gone.

Leakers don't have to post info. Pushing them relentlessly for details is either 1) rude, 2) asking them to break confidentiality agreements, 3) falling right into their trolling trap. There are some leakers who act elite. There are some who don't. This thread isn't the place to discuss that. When I unlock the thread please keep the discussion on topic. Feel free to discuss the content of the leaks. But commenting on the character of the leakers themselves will get this thread locked... again.

Maybe it wont happen for that specific set buy maybe it will come out on another Bad Batch set. I really hope that they do add helmets though. It wouldn't be the first time LEGO starwars as disappointed us though lol.

This sounds vaguely like a Lego Star Wars line of discussion.

Hey hey hey! Don't delete the forum!

Why?

It would be bad.

I am fuzzy in all good bad things. What do you mean: Bad?

Imagine, all life as you know is stopping instantaneously and every molecule in your body is exploding at the speed of light.

Total protonic reversal.

That's bad. Thanks, Egon, that was an important safety tip.

(Wrote this out of my head - surely not accurate, but it is late, and I need to go to bed ;) but I do love Ghostbusters :pir-huzzah2:

All the best
Thorsten

So, the new UCS R2 looks great. I'm torn, since I have the 2012 model. If the 3rd leg function is improved, and all of the other features of the original are preserved/improved, it'll be hard to pass this up. I'm also excited to see if the lightsaber actually pops up, or if you have to remove it manually. When can we expect a full reveal?

I think VERY soon as the UCS A wing from last year got revealed around the 17th of April.

I think that it'll have some sort of 'eject' function to pop the lightsaber out. As to the full reveal, I'm expecting one in the next couple of weeks or so if it's really the M4 release.

I'd also been assuming Snowspeeder, though, I believe there was a rumor it was Mandalorian related - from the same source as the $800 UCS Death Star (which turned out to be the currently rumored AT-AT...).

Speaking of Death Star, Lego has spent the last couple of years releasing Death Star vignettes. Perhaps the exclusive is a continuation of that?

  • January 2019: 75229: Death Star Escape
  • October 2019: 75246: Death Star Cannon
  • August 2020: 75291: Death Star Final Duel
  • Summer 2021: $30 exclusive Death Star set (e.g. Trash Compactor, Detention Center, Vader Tie)

Omitting the Bad Batch’s helmets would be incredibly cheap. So cheap in fact, it’d be about the cheapest move they’ve EVER made :wall: They still haven’t released a single new minifig mould this year, so where’s that sudden stinginess coming from? The only potentially new moulds based on what we so far know could be a Darktrooper, which is still unconfirmed, and Tech’s helmet. Fennec’s helmet will certainly not be included in the cruiser and Gar Saxon will most likely get a regular Mando helmet.

2021 might turn out to be first year without a single new minifig mould, which is just sad :cry_sad: Even 2006 had at least one  I’ve been joking that this theme’s budget has been sliced in half, but judging by this, it’s been reduced to tablescraps :snicker:

Why would they not do helmets? Did I miss this info?

Anyway, Gar Saxton is supposed to come with  new helmet mold with horns. Mandy products. or whoever that was said that I think in this one long video about sets.

About mold budget: people said the same in other themes. As far as I can see sometimes people dont calculate the new parts for sets - like the one for X-Wing or the Ninjago cockpit and many dragon molds.

But yes, overall it's weird. I still dont get, why they didnt do a new Mando helmet mold.

It’s a rumour that’s been circulating, and hopefully a false one

Good to know, thanks  Must’ve missed that

Sure, but I’m talking about minifig moulds in particular. Ninjago has a lot of specialised parts, but never at the cost of minifig moulds, and neither did Star Wars in the last few years. Almost every recent UCS set introduced a new windshield piece, yet there were plenty of new minifig moulds in those years too. And we already know the Gunship will repurpose the jedi starfighter windshield piece :shrug_oh_well:

The only new mould this year that appears to have been designed specifically for SW is the 3x3x2 round brick in the X-Wing set. The 1x1 brick with axle hole is obviously an all-purpose part that has already shown up in many other sets

It was first circulated on the 1st of April, so that might increase its chances of being false.

Rako Hardeen from the HH-47 Starfighter and every Clone Pilot ever have entered the chat  Never making a P2 Cody could also be considered, but if we're just going for things they've actually done but done cheaply, those othere two examples stand. (But, I would argue that making 212th and Wolfpack P2 Clone Wars minifigures but no P2 Cody and Wolffe was a slap in the face and rung of cheapness.)
