With a copy of the signed treaty calling for cessation of all hostilities in hand, Captain Brickleton thundered southward on his horse, throwing pebbles and rocks up in his wake.

The Terraversans of Pamu, from whom he has been lent the horse, claimed it was the fastest mount available - and as Brickleton galloped at full speed for hours on end this appeared to bear fruit.

He would seek out Colonel Allcock and attempt to stop Corrington's assault on Tarlor before it was too late ( @Ayrlego ).

OOC:

Spoiler

Idea for this build came from wanting to show pieces of dirt flying up behind a galloping horse.

Attempted to do this using 1x1 plates and clear pieces

@Professor Thaum did something similar with a speeder bike. Worked really well.

As always excellent presentation! For such a small base, you managed to make the fullest out of it :pir-sweet:

Looks good! That flying dirt is brilliant!

Thanks! I designed the build from the side (rotated 90 degrees from photo view) and the flying dirt was made with that in mind. Glad some of it is still visible in the photos I chose to use. The 90-degree rotated view photos looked better for the flying dirt, but I'd rather see Brickleton's face!

Cool! Hadn't seen that (I rarely see anything outside of the pirates theme, though my horizons are broadening now that I'm on Flickr).

I think if builders can get viewers to accept that clear pieces mean there is nothing there, a lot of creative concepts can be explored. I love seeing the builds people make that feature ocean floor and water surface at different heights using clear pieces.

As that "The Sea Rat" MOC makes the rounds of social media one of the recurring comments from people is "whoa it's so cool that the little thought bubbles lead up to the dream", which means they took the leap of faith!

Thanks! I had 45 minutes and knew I wouldn't have time for a larger base. But I did have time to grab some more unusual pieces (inverted rounds, rounded 1x2s, ground-colored jumpers, whole variety of plants, etc) to spice it up!

Here's hoping Brickleton makes it to Col Allcock in time!

Excellent MOC. It really has a sense of motion! And the flying dirt just adds to that. Good job with the landscaping, too. I like the irregular edge of the ground within the black frame.

Looks very good. Putting Captain Brickleton on the horse at an angle makes the scene more realistic.
