natesroom Posted March 28, 2021 I had like 1000 of these wrenches and i was trying to think of a new idea to use them. What do you think about this roof technique? Has this been done before? PXL_20210328_014028181 by Natesroom, on Flickr
zoth33 Posted March 28, 2021 I don't remember seeing it done before personally. It does look interesting.
caiman0637 Posted March 28, 2021 Never seen it before, but it looks cool! Too bad that those wrenches don't come in Reddish Brown or Tan.
jtooker Posted March 29, 2021 I don't recall it being done before - what happens if you rotate each layer just slightly so they don't all line up? My only complaint is what type of actual roof are you trying to emulate with this technique? It looks like a thatched roof, but then the color is wrong (as @caiman0637 said, too bad it doesn't come in a tan-family color).
Tom_Brick Posted March 30, 2021 Tan or Dark Tan would be nice, but there are examples of very dark thatchings:
BlackGloveBricks Posted April 1, 2021 Roofs are the part of custom building I tend to struggle with the most. So any technique suggestion is a good one in my books. Thanks for sharing!
