This is a type of steering for a tracked vehicle that uses so-called subtractor which means input from motor used for steering is subtracted from the main drive input

That is compact!  And I like the symmetry - a pity the motor placement breaks it.

Thanks! Actually I could do a bit better with less gears and better gear ratio with new differentials. Also for a bigger model you can make neat final drives with gear reduction:

For Powered UP it doesn't really matter because the XL motor is just an L motor in disguise. Also if you want to make a relatively small tank model, this means you can fit a third L motor on the other side.

That's very nice and compact!

I will for sure try to use it for a next self locking differential vehicle.
