[OL-FB] HRS Defender

Now that all in the Brick Seas have had their eyes open to the hegemonic greed and duplicity of "The Red Menace," it is the patriotic duty of all patriots to resist Corrington's efforts to oppress smaller states like Oleon, Eslandola, and even those free spirited Sea Rats. To that end, the carpenters of the Beauchamp Shipyard have been working at breakneck pace to meet the demands of the Royal Navy. Reports have arrived back from *LOCATION REDACTED* that sea trials for the HRS Defender are complete. 

She is now under sail and on mission. (OOC: Appreciate the rigging above, for some reason the strings wouldn't render in most of the shots, I did this a few times, these are actually now much higher resolution photos than I usually do trying to capture it... sorry it didn't populate in all of them)

As a heavy frigate, she is slightly wider than most (I think it was 4 studs wider than a large ship section) and also longer than most frigates (a large bow plus 7 mid-sections). 

With a condensed storage deck, mostly below the waves, there is a complete gun deck and, as pictured, she was "decked" out with additional guns all across the weather deck. 

Two chasers in the front and a "defending" deity graces the bow piece. 

The ship has sleek lines but, nothing too fancy in the stern.

Captain Simone, eager to prove his worth, his first time commanding a frigate and he has been selected for an oversized heavy. Quite pleased with the new lady. 

The ship's armaments include 30 large caliber in the broadsides, the 2 chasers, and 4 swivels. 

Ready to check Corry aggression and restore balance to the universe.

@CapOnBOBS Nice job with the custom hull, and the brick-sails look good too. And if you are looking for more realism, you may consider to shorten the mizzen mast, and add a spanker on it, NOD's vessels in his signature are some good examples.

This one is a very nice frigate, the use of older parts is brilliant.

Oh boy, another large ship for La Royale. I'm hoping that'll be conducting operations in Terraversa, instead of anywhere else on the Brick Seas.... 

I love the use of those old fashioned space cockpits as sails. I wish they'd have thought to do that with their real sets, it works quite well. 

All in all, definitely a solid build. Only thing I'd suggest is the cannons on the top deck look a bit large, and out of scale for the ship, and I think brick built could have worked a bit better.

Great build though, and I look forwards to seeing what battles she takes part in.
