Rebel Hardware. (Let’s face it, the rebels need some ground force buffs)

A-A5 speeder truck (£29.99): 1 male Rebel Assault Trooper, 1 female Rebel Assault Trooper, 1 Rebel Heavy Trooper and a Rebel officer.

T3-B heavy assault tank (£59.99): 1 Rebel Pilot, 1 Sullustan Rebel Desert trooper, 1 Human Rebel Desert trooper, 1 Urban Rebel Trooper and an Imperial Sandtrooper.

Salvaged AT RT (£12.99): BF2 Endor Twilek Specialist and a BF2 Endor Zebrak Heavy Trooper.

Anyone else have anything to add to rebel ground force ideas?

These are great!

RTG style concepts:

Sith Gunship (£129.99): 2 Shadow Pilots, 2 Clone Shadow Troopers, Dark Side Yoda and Jedi Palpatine. (Black and Red republic gunship)

Rebel AT AT (£129.99): 3x Clone Troopers, Inquisitor Ahsoka, Darth Kenobi and Rebel Commander Grievous.

Sith A-Wing (£29.99): Tie Pilot, Grand Admiral Ackbar and Jedi Maul.

T-6 Sith Shuttle (£69.99): Inquisitor Cal Kestis, Grand Moff Mothma, Tie Baron Solo and Rebel Captain Thrawn (Chiss Ascendancy Uniform.) (Gray and Black T-6)

Liberator One (£59.99): Rebel Boba Fett, Darth Windu and Jedi Dooku.

Anyone else have potential “Shattered Glass” style ideas?

I have a couple:

Dark Sentinel ($149.99): Black and maroon CR90 Corvette. Darth Leia, R2-D2 (Black highlights and red sensor), Captain Antilles (dark grey jacket), 2x Rebel Stormtrooper (Similar to the Mcquarrie concept art).

Palpatine's Sanctuary ($79.99): Jedi Master Sheev Palpatine, Jedi Master Dooku, Darth Skywalker, Darth Yoda, 2x Clone Shadow Trooper. Basically a temple version of Palpatine's throne room.

As an aside, it's a little hard to think of clever troops, since I want there to be a clear switching of sides, Stormtroopers would be the good guys, Rebels would be bad, and so on. Basically what the show's doing with Geonosian Jedi, but on a wider scale.

Yeah. That’s why I thought of Clone Shadow Troopers. Because they are canonically an evil clone unit that served only Palpatine. Maybe the Stormtroopers would each have custom markings (like named clones)

Excellent ideas though.

Sure, here's a wave:

Suntrooper battle pack ($19.99): 3x Suntrooper (white armor with gold arms and a gold helmet with white face area), 1x Reborn Republic Officer (beige uniform). Build is an A-web defense cannon and a speeder bike.

Alliance troopers battle pack ($19.99): 2x Alliance navy trooper (similar uniforms, but with the face area of the helmet closed off aside from a slit visor), 2x alliance infiltrators (similar to endor commandos, but with hoods instead of helmets and a darker green). Build is a stolen AT-RT scout walker.

Snowstriker ($29.99): Luke Starkiller (grey flightsuit with black chest box and helmet. Stolen from a tricked Padme by Jedi master Kenobi, Luke was trained from birth in the Jedi Order and joined the terrorist group known as the Alliance), Dak Ratler, and a Coldtrooper (white and light blue uniforms). Also includes a molded Wampa they're hunting and a vicous Tauntan lizard.

X-fighter ($59.99): Luke Starkiller (grey flightsuit with black chest box and helmet), Biggs Darklighter (he has no mustache but a scraggly beard), R2-D2, and an Alliance Ground Crewer (Fully enclosed version of the rebel fleet helmet)

TIE-Wing ($49.99): TIE pilot (Gold flight suit), 2x Republic Navy Trooper (nougat uniforms), 1x General Skywalker (blue and gold armor, yellow lightsaber, damaged face with wispy grey hair. Due to having a childhood before being indoctrinated into the jedi cult, he was able to recognize their move against palpatine was evil and leaped to his defense. Being left for dead by Kenobi, who had gone to mustafar to eliminate the loose end that was the separatist movement's leaders, General Skywalker's damaged body was given an armored suit by the Kaminoans, and he continues to serve the Reborn Republic).

Mos Eisley Ristorante ($79.99): Mos Eisley kitchen and dining area with Chef Wuher, a serving droid, Han Solo (a former Suntrooper kicked from the corps over corruption issues), Chewbacca (A classic example of a treacherous, backstabbing wookie), Officer Greedo, and 2x Bith painters.

Star Defender ($159.99): Star Defender with interior bridge, barracks/armory, and conference room. Comes with Grand Admiral Thrawn (Exactly the same), Admiral Tarkin (a man who values civility over primal instinct, and also cares deeply about his men), Admiral Motti (Someone who, while he doesn't personally practice the sith religion, respects it's followers), 2x Republic crewer, 2x Suntrooper, and Chancellor Palpatine (One of the last members of the Sith religion after a thousand years of the Jedi attempting to exterminate the religion, Palpatine rose through the ranks of the senate, secretly working to oppose Jedi rule. After the majority of jedi were defeated by the Mandalorian troopers in the Clone Wars, Palpatine was given the chancellorship due to his ability to resist Jedi mind control.)

MBS Jabba's Headquarters ($299.99): Jabba's headquarters, which serves as a courtroom, jail, and police station on the otherwise lawless tatooine. The central area of the set has Jabba's courtroom on top and a jail below. On one side is a guard post, small infirmary, and Han's maximum-security cell. On the other is another guard post, the main gate, and a booking area. Included figures are Chief Justice Jabba, Baliff Bib Fortuna, Eloquent defense attorney Salacious Crumb, Captain Fett, Officer Dengar, Officer Bossk, Max Rebo (exactly the same), Master Starkiller, Countess Leia (baggy prison jumpsuit), Han Solo (prison suit with maximum security restraints), C-3PO, R2-D2, medical droid EV-9D9, a GNK power sapper, Warden Malaki, and the Rancor prison guard.

The Life Angel ($499.99): The Life angel is a moon-sized battle station that has the ability to generate a shield around an entire planet, saving it from orbital bombardment. This model has no outer shell and is a sphere-shaped collection of rooms, including the main shield generator, a tractor beam control room, conference room, Countess Leia's cell block, the waste management center, and a Suntrooper break room. Comes with 25 figures, included but not limited to Admiral Tarkin, General Skywalker, Several versions of Luke Starkiller, Han Solo, and Countess Leia, some Suntroopers, Shield Generator Engineers, Liberty Guards, a Rat Droid, and more.

Thanks. Though in my set, they're meant to be the bad guys. Oh! Clone Light Troopers! Clone Wars indeed, of the civil variety.

Oh, same here. I was thinking of the Shadow Troopers as an Evil Rey situation. As they exist the same way in canon and in this timeline. So yeah the Shadow Troopers are the evil troopers.

I was just meaning that Shattered Glass is more just inverted characters and a swapping of roles. Earth 3 is an entire alternate history. For example: Thomas Wayne kills his parents and his brother Bruce, Kal il survives the fall of Krypton not Kal El and Superwoman is Lois Lane.

Shattered glass is an alternate history too, though, isn't it? Instead of the autobots losing the war for cybertron, the decepticons lose the war for earth and struggle to survive on an autobot-controlled cybertron with all the different autobot factions.

I was actually trying to keep shattered glass in mind while doing it- the Jedi are evil and Sith are good instead of the standard star wars inversion of darth skywalker and jedi vader, just like it's good decepticons and evil autobots instead of Nemesis Prime or Autobot Megatron.

Yeah those came design first, name and concept second. I did a contest entry for it awhile back- also where a lot of the write-up for the characters came from.

I did the research. And my apologies. I got confused as the Autobots have the purple colour on their insignia. TBH that’s my fault for not being all that familiar on shattered glass lore. So sorry I was mistaken.

Unacceptable, I curse you with making a comment in the lego transformers discussion thread because it doesn't get enough posts. We just got a new leak with the bumblebee image!

I can't remember if GIFs work here but I want to send that GIF of Jesse from breaking bad screaming and crying against the car door. WE JUST GOT ONE, HE CAN'T KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH IT!

Regardless, good ideas for the hardware- I'm especially shocked we haven't had a headhunter vs separatist fighter yet. Lego loves their starfighter two-packs as of late.

Good. Now we just have to wait Until All Are One  Have posted in the transformers thread to make it popular leading inexplicably to my crack dream of a full on theme rather than one set every couple years. LOTR fans know the feeling. (Though I'd take Transformers Brickheadz like LOTR gets- how are those not a thing? Low effort by Lego, Funko's shown they'd be popular, I don't even LIKE brickheadz but now I'm offended we don't have them.)

(Cries in 2020 X-wing)

Lego has shown they love their $100ish starfighter dogfights, so here's one for each saga film. These would not all release at once as there's a bit of overlap, more like two a year like we got in 2023:

Naboo Fighter vs Vulture Droids ($89.99): Naboo Fighter and two vulture droids (because they're small). Comes with Child Anakin, 1x Naboo Pilot, R2-D2, Padme (battle dress), and 2x b1 battle droid.

Delta-7 vs Slave One ($119.99): A 1000-ish piece Slave One and 200-ish piece Delta-7. Comes with Obi-Wan, Obi-Wan's astromech, Jango, Boba, and Lama Su.

ARC-170 vs Tri-fighter ($109.99): Similar to the above one, with the ARC taking most of the part count. Comes with 3x Clone Pilot, 1x Republic Astromech, and 2x Buzz Droid.

Y-wing vs TIE advanced ($109.99): Comes with Dutch Vander, Darth Vader, 1x Rebel Astromech, 1x Death Star Gunner, and Rebel Friend.

Cloud Car vs Boba's Slave One ($129.99): Again, Boba's takes most of the part count. Comes with Boba Fett, Han Solo (carbonite), 1x Stormtrooper, Lando Calrissian, Lobot, and Bespin Guard.

A-wing vs TIE interceptor ($89.99): Comes with 1x TIE pilot, 1x Rebel A-wing pilot, 1x Scout Trooper, Mon Mothma, and a Rebel Commando.

Poe Dameron's X-wing vs TIE fighter ($99.99): Poe Dameron's X-wing and a First Order TIE fighter. Comes with Poe Dameron, BB-8, 1x First Order TIE pilot, 1x First Order Snowtrooper, and Jessica Pava.

A-wing vs TIE Silencer ($99.99): Comes with Tallie Lintra, Kylo Ren, 1x First Order Special Forces TIE pilot, Paige Tico, and 1x First Order Technician.

Resistance X-wing vs TIE Dagger ($109.99): (Poe's orange/white/blue one) Comes with Poe Dameron, R2-D2, 1x Sith Pilot, 1x Sith Trooper, and Beamont Kin.

All good suggestions but I'd be shocked if we don't see a clone wars starfighter 2-pack and/including an ARC-170 in the next 3 years or so, and I'd always love a remake of Plo's fighter.

So much potential, even if it ends up being a naff show.

All your ideas are great! I’m hoping more set ideas arise as we watch more the show each week.

Ha! The Coruscant Guard version was borderline an insult; a generic one with these figures would go along way. Albeit, it’s a bit too similar in style (Coruscant inspired) to the 2023 version, so let’s be real a better version will come in 2027 for AOTC’s anniversary I’ve no doubt.

All great dogfight ideas! It’s certainly something Lego has got right in recent times, I do hope they continue as the potential is there!

I have left in Jango vs Kenobi because I think it could work well alike the Durmstrang and Beauxbaton Carriage this year. Make the Delta sleaker and smaller, and the Slave One the centrepiece. Minifigure list is bang on. I’d buy it full price, day 1, no questions asked.
