dutchmadebricks Posted February 5, 2021 Watch the recreation of an old city gate to enter the city Leiden, Netherlands. It's called the Morspoort (Mors gate) dated from 1669. A few weeks ago I created the topic [MOC] Sweet red mill. After photo 4 I added this project to my lego city.

Man with beard Posted February 5, 2021 So beautiful! Thank you for sharing this. My favorite detail I see so far is the technique for those arched windows on the front.

Dutch Thriceman Posted February 6, 2021 It looks very Dutch indeed, I especially like the use of the Friends (sticker) tile, even that (Stephanie) vibes very Dutch haha
Sir Iron Posted February 6, 2021 Fantastisch! I recognized it immediately, when working from home I sometimes work from nu Parents home in Leiden, I past it on my daily walk, even more now that its part of the singelroute. You did an excellent job!!
Vaiman Posted February 6, 2021 I had to do a double take. I recognized it immediately as I visited Leiden daily pre-covid. But I couldn't believe that you MOC'd the exact building I cycled through so often! What a great MOC! I love the authentic shaping and colour layering with the white highlights. And the surroundings of the building are so lively and colourful! Also, I love the amount of bicycles featured. Very authentic XD
Stuartn Posted February 6, 2021 That looks great, the overall detail is outstanding and I love the windmill. Is the drawbridge functional?

snaillad Posted February 7, 2021 Welcome to EB! You've done a pretty good job recreating the scene. Well done on the dome especially!
dutchmadebricks Posted February 19, 2021 Thanks! Here is a closer look inside the dome. I think creating a dome in lego is always tuff to make. The other picture is a closer look to the arched window.
