I think it is enough space to put some Power Functions :) but, thank you for instruction

Thanks. I suppose, it would be too heavy for the shocks.

By the way, I was inspired by this photo:

It's Plymouth Belvedere 1968

Looks really nice. Reminds me of the Blues Brothers.

1 note, would it not be more period correct to have a live axel in the rear? Or is this a restmod?

I just put what I wanted, as it wasn't meant to be a copy of a real car

I had the exact some thought. Great build, and the color blocking is great.

Thanks again for another great car build.

Hello!

Here i am so far:

I must say i am impressed by the capture of the shape ant this whatever angle you look at it.

Instruction are quiet clear and easy to follow, event if some parts are hidden or not clearly shown, but ok, with a little experience in building technic, anyone can follow them.

Great job

I am also a bit dissapointed by the overall flimsyness of the bodywork witch is a clear consequence of the concept of building separatly frame and bodywork.

But overall the work of optimization is great and you have use as few parts as possible. In this theme, it is a piece of art.

I'll now build the frame and then maybe have a mod on it.

Thanks for sharing!

EDIT: I miss a pair of 7X5 black panel. At thirst sight i would have tell everyone :"sure, i got this part", but when searching at it, i didn't find one of them in my inventory.

From which set are these parts from?

It's stronger when connected, chassis + body. But separately yes, not perfect

I finalysed the chassis, and i must say you are right, much better

I really enjoy this build! here are some pictures so far. I build the whole chassis in red due to the fact all my light gray stock is used by other model.

Yesterday evening:

And today's state: some mod to the doors:

Again, thanks for sharing. I highly recommand this build to everyone.

I was continuously surprised by the cleverness of each detail in it.

Hi @paave !

I finished the build. It was gorgeous :classic:

After completing the original design, i push my own touch in it. I hope you'll don't mind for it...

What i changed:

- Get out with the principle of a chassis+ independant body, as i'll let your car to a young child (age7), i found it needed to be a little more solid built,

- I reinforced the chassis by adding a second stage of liftarms with a 3 stud offset on the upper side of the car's floor, i reinforced the suspension in the front

- I add lateral liftarm to lock the whole build,

-I fixed the trunck cover solidly so you can hold the car when taking it by this trunk cover,

- I get an enable independant rear door opening by modifying the attachment point and system,

 - imodified the rear axle so it can support the weight of a child playing with it,

- I add a functionnal steering wheel and adapted the HOG diameter for a child too

- I rebuild the seats (front and back) correspondigly to the new frame setup

I obviously keep the outside desigh that is absolutely fantastic, and i also keep as it the transmission system that works perfectly well.

Thanks again!

I place all pictures here:

Awesome work, @steph77!

I like the seats

Isn't the rear suspension too hard now with these short arms?

I must admit that these rear suspension presents now a little bit of hardtail style :classic:

It clearly needs softer ones, but all my soft suspension are used on different midscale trucks, and hard ones doesn't fit at all on these models so...

I do change the seats due to chassis modification. Yours where looking so good with so few parts!

Oh, i forgot to tell you that i also attached firmly thre roof to the under structure so it is possible to lift the car by holding it. Not recommanded, but ok, it can survive now.
