.ldr or .dat as a stand alone file from an .mpd file

Is it possible in MLCAD or any other LDRAW software to get a separate file of a submodel? I have a model that is an MPD. Can I pull out a submodel and make it into it's own file by itself?

MLCAD has an option to export it's submodels. Souds silly, but you can find it in the menu bar under "submodels"

Or in LDCad: open the submodel, then Session -> detach this subfile.

Where is this "submodels"?

Well, I ended up using "file: export". 1,091 files created just to get 8. But, success in the end. Thanks, guys
