GBW RELOADED SIGNUP - NOW OPEN!

Recommended Posts

Welcome,

So you've decided to finally take the plunge and join us? GBW: RELOADED is going to be a great and new experience for players from prior versions and those just deciding to try it out for the first time.

There are three different organizations you can sign up for:

50617883802_516987ebc6_z.jpg

Peace Securing International Coalition- (PSIC) - Coalition of Allied Nations that recently waged a humanitarian relief effort in a neighboring country. Called upon by the international community to help deescalate the region and return it to peace. PSIC nations also see an opening in Soalon to not only institute a newly formed democracy, but to also exploit several of the countries resources and wealth.

50617774831_ff8232ae83_z.jpg

Kriviyat League of Republics- (KLR) - A collective of socialist nation states looking to spread influence throughout the world by one ideological shift at a time. With Soalon right on the border of two of its members' states, the KLR sees Soalon as ripe for the taking. For years they have had everything from deeply embedded spies in the Government, to corrupt officials on their payroll. Their influence in region is easily recognizable, but not welcomed by the population.

50617774826_8d8a64c2c4_z.jpg
(NO LONGER AVAILABLE FOR SIGN UP)The Brotherhood of Soalon- (BS)- after the collapse of the Soalon Government, those with any level of influence began to fend for themselves. Very rapidly, powerful figures in the country realized they would need to prepare to defend themselves from invaders as opposed to fighting one another. An underground was formed between the key figures of big crime syndicates and religious extremists. The group extorted businesses on all levels to join the fold and it is largely believed the once booming economy of Soalon is at a finger's reach for the Brotherhood's network.

*Note* The pictures used above or purely for a rough form of reference. You do NOT have to make your builds exactly the same as shown in the pictures. These factions are open to interpretation within reason.

Each side will have it's own advantages and disadvantages when the game is underway, but we are electing not to post that during the sign up period as we want players to choose sides based on what they like to build and not purely for an edge in the game.

---------------------------------------------------------------

Once you've decided on your side, you will need to make a post in this thread with the following:

Declare your side to the world

A picture of your sigfig- this character will follow you throughout your adventure in the next part of the game. Though your fig does not need to be in every build, it should be prominently integrated in what you're doing.

A backstory regarding your fig. With the exception of the Brotherhood, the other two organizations are basically alliances of multiple nations. You have the choice to explain the nation you are representing if you choose and also to provide some information about that nation. Players coming back from previous rounds of the game may elect to use their old countries if they'd like (though it will not be directly impacting the game). Just be sure to look out for other players who may have shared that nation in the past to ensure it is not being used twice.

Rules and Gameplay guidelines will follow soon.

Yes, We're doing something a little different this time. Each side has it's own private planning subsection. Once people start signing up and we get a few people from each side, we'll start putting people in their sections so they can talk, plan, etc.

Bandaud will join the PSIC
Comander Gus is gonna be our representative.
In the Bandaud Monarchy all the special forces' elite members receive a Machette made out of meteorite that had been discovered in its northern mountains.

Tradition states that the soldiers are illuminated by the glow of the blade prior to each operation, a glow that comes from the reflection of Gorba's altar, protector of special forces, an old folk tale of war of the old.

Sign ups are LIVE again! Also looking for volunteers for team leaders. The role of the team leader is just being the point of contact for your faction's activities to the staff and working on issues with the game. Need 1 for each faction.

Thank you!

Great news !

This new version of the GBW game seems very attractive to me.

I would like to join again the game within the Kriviyat League of Republics !

I will soon post pictures of a Sigfig.

@TheBeeze : if you're looking for help for a team leader on this Faction, I am volonteer !

I see this KPR like some badguys :jollyroger: and they can be hard to play ! I'll try to help players in the faction to my best !

Not sure the KPR will become very popular  but it's so fun playing the bad guys !

I'm back in The Great Brick War !

Plighia will join the PSIC.

Cpt. Gabriel Parm is gonna be my representative.

After the recent conflict, Plighia's power and international influence have grown considerably, but now a brief period of peace has opened and the troops have been recalled home. However, the government seems willing to enter a new conflict again, not as a single military force, but alongside a coalition of nations to restore peace to Soalon, in fact public opinion has pushed in this direction, given that the previous conflict cost the country a lot in terms of financial resources. But all this is not enough, the government wants the country to emerge internationally and be recognized as a true world power.

Cpt. Gabriel Parm, is currently on temporary leave. For the moment, he has nailed his uniform, and away from the reality of the army and its loyalty to Plighia and its patriotism towards the values of the constitution, he can devote himself to his secondary work, being a mechanic, the only activity that manages to remove him from the war and all the bad things he has seen and experienced. Despite this, he always remains ready for the call to duty if the army needs him and his men.

And so, Tosul is joining the Kriviyat League of Republics (KLR)

The Commissioner Dimitri Volkov from the Kriviyat Zpezial Police (KZP) will be my Sigfig :

pevepPll.jpg

The Commissioner is a solid man full of experience in the battlefield.

When he was General of the Comrades Brigades he got severely hurt by a shrapnel and lost his right arm. However he stood right in the battle, leading his Comrades to the victory before being taken backlines to be saved just in time.

Thanks to the high competence in mechanization of the Tosul engineers, he replaced his lost arm by a mechanical one he made bigger and dangerous to show to ennemies of the Kriviyat he will stand stronger at each wound he will receive. His battle arm his now a strong iron mechanical claw that can fowl any blindage and can tear appart a man!

Here is the Commissioner Volkov defending a Tosul Bunker in the Hercynian Mountains :

Commander, the following intel is classified, we request that you only share this with officers with appropriate clearance. Our spies have acquired and sent us the following image with attached message:

To whom it may concern, the Peoples Republic of Koszmar might sound familiar. Their military (the Koszmar Republic Army) was listed as the worlds worst military the past 7 years in a row and deemed non-threatening by PSIC officials.
In order to boost moral and improve their public image, Koszmar established K.R.A.S.O.D. or the Koszmar Republic Army Special Operations Division. This 'KRASOD' was ment to, with funding of the KLR, become a fierce special-ops fighting force ment to rival that of both PSIC and KLR's best. This proved to be a most challenging task for the small and impoverished republic however. After all as the famous KLR saying goes, 'the best of the worst, is still terrible' (rough translation).

50965583157_757f2929a5_b.jpg

The picture is a groupshot of KRASOD's first and currently only known (technically unknown, this is classified after all) fireteam, aptly designated Wraith-1 'Village Idiots'.

From left to right:
- Oleg 'Tankman' Vdovenko, according to our sources Oleg was a former Koszmar civilian construction worker, we genuinely have no clue what this man is doing here.
- Mayk 'The Cowboy' Yudman, the only actual soldier and an actual Special Forces member at that, mr Yudman is an import sent by high ranking KLR officials, now you may ask 'because he is such a good soldier, to support Koszmar?' No, mr Yudman is considered a loose cannon, we suspect KLR just wanted to get rid of Yudman as he was more trouble then he was worth.
- Sasha 'Pitbull' Silantyev (Sigfig), mr Silantyev is a former mobster enforcer from the Koszmar underworld, he's also according to our sources been designated the squad leader. This should say enough about Koszmar  and KRASOD professionalism and competence.
- Lola 'Ubiytsa' Obolenskaya, miss Obolenskaya is also part of the Koszmar underworld, a mafia hitman, or should we say hitwoman? Used to seducing her marks, after getting visibly scarred she had to find a new profession.

The only advantage for KRASOD, they have been granted some of the latest in gear and weaponry developed by the KLR (probably since they only had to supply a single fireteam anyway);

50965485036_6da931cfaa_c.jpg

In conclusion, we still deem Koszmar to be an insignificant player on the board. The KRASOD is a literal joke, with only a single fireteam  established, with only a single actual soldier in it. The best of the worst indeed.

Wew, finally finished my character intro and sigfig / sigteam haha. I hope this is acceptable conform GBW rules and standards.

edit* edited some spelling mistakes.

EROTEMA also joins the glorious Kriviyat League of Republics (KLR).

капита́н 3-го р́анга (Captain 3rd rank) (Lieutenant Commander) Mikeloff is my sigfig.

After Erotema was overrun by a populist-communist-socialist-xxxist government, it adopted the Soviet Union style ranking and naming.

Thus, what was the underwater commandos became the Spetsialnoye Morskaya kommandos frogman. Erotema always masterd naval surface and submarine warfare, and this new era can´t be different.

Lt Commander Mike

I like the design of the Commisioner Volkov. He brings me in mind Commissar Yarick, arguably the most badass comissar in the entire Imperium (in Warhammer 40k universe)

As much as I want to say, isn't GBW supposed to be modern military themed, I absolutely love Warhammer (40K) so personally anything 40K inspired is awesome in my book. Not sure how the judges will feel about it though.

That's why I talked about "inspiration" and not about transferring the world of WH40k to GBW. This refers to characters and units that can be adapted to the present day and not presented as they are. It's something I've done in the last years of the game.

Yea, I took a look at your builds, they are great. You have some impressive diorama's and I especially love the most recent tank you build, I can definitely imagine some imperial guardsmen riding that beast as well! :pir-thumb:
