Count Vroskri Posted October 4, 2020 Hi all. Here's my latest ship, a Schooner, the Treasure Of Poseidon. For some reason the pics came out a bit pink. She is a three midsection schooner with 12 guns- 5 on either side, and a further two below the stern gallery. As a merchant ship she doesn't have the full hull pierced for gunposts, meaning she can use the fore space to handle the large Jib sails easier. The bows. The figurehead is a updated version if the skulls eye schooner. This ship is an actual schooner however. The large Spencer sail, for manoeuvrability. An overview. The spanker on the mizzen is furled. The rather boring and square stern. Small Merchant ships often had little decoration as the focus turned from large indiamen to small, fast sloops and ketches. There is no disguissing the mistake I made with the stern curvature which goes 2, 1, 3. Thoughts, I hope you like it. @Professor Thaum before I post in BoBs, any idea of the class? Professor Thaum Posted October 4, 2020 Nice one, a 2 masted schooner... mmm, probably stands for a class
NOD Posted October 4, 2020 A well built ship with sails and rigging. The stern fits, looks good and doesn't always have to be elaborately decorated. The bow with the figurehead is also well done.
JintaiZ Posted October 4, 2020 Nice build! Though a comparison with other ships would be welcome.
