I saw that list and if it becomes true I would like it, because it's not exaggerated in police and fire sets, the great vehicles are based in uncommon vehicles, it is a bit weird to hear that we will have a police station and a fire station at the same time like in 2005,again we are going to have a farm themed set, a hospital is nice to see next year, a school too but I do wish that we will get a new fire boat the last fire ship wasn't the best

So basically if this is true this means we are getting good city themed sets next year and a normal city focused subtheme!

And finally we can get a cement mixer!

Actually it's just another "my city" subtheme, it's nota bad subtheme will it have roadplates?

And according to brick merge we will have another Lego set for this year 61311

If it is true I am looking forward to the horse transport :excited:
They sure flirt with a farm subtheme in City now, first 60223 Harvester Transport in 2019, then 60287 Tractor this year and maybe a horse transporter next year  so hopefully we will get a full wave soon

I wonder what kind of sub themes we will have next year. Personally, I sure hope we will get a farming subtheme.

But school and cement mixer sound cool to me!

I’m also looking forward for that horse transporter as well! BUT we are in need for cows and goats! :)

I wonder what kind of product 61311 will be.
At first I thought the product mislabeled 60311.

I also thought of that too, but no it's 61311, brick merge says that this is supposed to be a 100€ set it may be a crook's hideout or another building

Yeah, no regular bus but school may have it own one for the kids.

Edit: so it's time for the new 2022 rumours topic right? Who will make a new one? Huh?

What does this 'My City' in the titles mean? Is that what the sets with the new roadplates are called?

Wait what? 4 subthemes (Police, Fire, My City, and Great Vehicles)? Ok, if that list is true - I will like to give Police & Fire a piece of my mind…

Don’t get me wrong but I really don’t consider Police and Fire as their own subthemes. I mean, we have seen Police and Fire themes every single year… UNLESS, Police and Fire are shifted into new/existing locations. For example, Police used to have Mountain Police and Swamp while Fire used to have Forest Fire subtheme (I think?). If Police and Fire are more city-based, then, well, darn it.

I’m fairly interested in School, Hospital, and Park because I’m curious to find out eventually. I’m more interested in Horse Transporter because of horse(s). :)

I think LEGO is trying to make their most popular theme cater to all audiences. The police and fire waves seems kinda small recently. So obviously both topics are tied when it comes to sales. Thats prolly why they are no diverse environments now. That may have just been a system used in the 2010s. 2020 may be a new age for City. Plus the show is centered around the cops and firefighters.

Since we're practically making a wish list, I'd like to see a mould of a walking bird e.g. stork. It could also be repainted and reused to represent a crane or heron, so it could fit into North American, European, African and Asian settings.

Think this is a really nice idea, and I’d really welcome these additions. Might be worth following the thread about animal moulds.

I’ve no idea how Lego decides what moulds work - but, for example, it’s hard to see the present deer mould being repurposed as an antelope (with different horns). Though they sure could have designed it that way. Seems that they are getting more specific and specialised with many animals, such as hermit crab, skunk and chameleon, not to mention all the dog breeds, so I’m finding it hard to imagine a standard standing bird mould that would work across species, but would love to see such a thing.

I mean, they do still use just one set of molds for alligators and crocodiles, and also one set of molds for all "big cat" species (with unique head sculpts only for the "male" lion and the sabretooth).

For that matter, they are arguably taking great creative liberties by using the current deer mold as a "reindeer" in the Winter Village Collection, since its long neck and pointed muzzle more closely resemble that of a Eurasian red deer or American white-tailed deer than a reindeer. Real-life reindeer/caribou have short necks and flat/rounded muzzles — more like Sven from Frozen than a typical greeting-card portrayal of "Santa's reindeer".

And even mini-doll themes (which tend to get considerably more species- or breed-specific with some of their molds) share molds between vastly different breeds and species pretty frequently:

  • Namaarii's "Serlot" (a large fictional wildcat inspired by species like the serval, ocelot, and caracal) from Raya and the Last Dragon shares a mold that has been used in the Friends and Elves themes for both foxes and huskies.
  • Bruno the bloodhound from Cinderella and Max the Old English sheepdog from The Little Mermaid share a mold with numerous dogs from LEGO Friends, including Cookie the dalmatian, Dash the terrier, and several other dogs of various unspecified breeds.
  • Diablo the raven from Sleeping Beauty uses the same mold as Pepper the parakeet from LEGO Friends, which is in turn simply a dual-molded version of the one used for Elvis the eagle, Java the macaw, Violet the songbird, and Goldie the yellow warbler before the theme's 2018 reboot.

I'm sure LEGO wouldn't be willing to use the same mold for ALL long-legged wading birds (such as storks, ibises, herons, spoonbills and egrets). But that's mostly just common sense — after all, imagine how ludicrous it would be if they used the flamingo mold from Minifigures Series 19 for all those different species, just because it happened to fall within that same general category!

That said, I do think they'd probably be okay with having one shared mold for long-legged wading birds with long, straight bills (like herons, egrets, storks, and cranes), and only introduce separate molds for those like ibises and spoonbills that have more specific bill shapes.

And even some of those other "specific molds" you mention could potentially be used for more varied species in the future as well. For example, it would not be a HUGE stretch to imagine the skunk mold being repurposed for other musteloid species with long, bushy tails (like raccoons, red pandas, wolverines martens and minks), or even for squirrels (especially large species like the Malabar Giant Squirrel).

Some of those possibilities wouldn't be ideal, maybe… but neither was reusing the German Shepherd mold for dalmatians in past City sets! And that's something I'd be thrilled to see future LEGO City fire sets remedy, especially now that the Labrador Retriever mold exists. That's still not a perfect shape for a Dalmatian, but certainly closer than any other dog breed the City theme has had previously!

Any thoughts about 61311?

For sure TLG will use the sheep mold from that Disney 4+ set for other sets, too. And since we got the tractor this year and will be getting a horse transport next year, I could very well imagine a small farm with similar size and contents like https://brickset.com/sets/7637-1/Farm - in this case with sheep and / or pigs instead of cows.

But since the set number appears apart from brickmerge nowhere else, I could even imagine that the set was cancelled or put backwards to 2022.

Just to share in case it’s of use to anyone in the U.K. (I guess it might be available elsewhere too) the 30370 City polybag (diver with stingray, coral and small undersea scooter) is available on a Lego City magazine in newsagents and other retailers. It’s labelled as ‘giant series’ and as an ‘XXL magazine’ and retailing at £4.99 … and it seems to be retailing concurrently alongside a smaller version of the magazine with a foil pack with diver w’out stingray at the ‘standard’ £3.99 price.

Hey folks!

Recently, there is rumor going around and that rumor comes from Promobricks. The rumor is in Disney+ / Marvele CMF. However, I don’t know if it’s considered as “spoilable”. I mean, I don’t watch Marvel tv shows on Disney+ at all.

Spoiler

Baby crocodile actually may not have Loki horns if it’s true.

If it’s true, why baby crocodile mold will not be included in Wildlife Rescue sets in the first place? We have crocodile egg and full-grown crocodile. Not fair if Marvel doesn’t want City to steal its thunder…
