Never, my best deal was buying the set 7744, I got it from the north and it came here one day later

Great set! What do you think of this combo: 60257, 60258 and the new roads?

Amazing!

Thanks! I think it's better than the 60292 for now... I need a tow truck and a service station. The mechanic (tuning workshop) is a big plus! And the roads are extremely useful!

What LEGO pretends to offer us with 10-17 parts stunt sets?

And also charging them 10€

That's the weirdest thing...

Those are the most overpriced sets, 10 euros for a few pieces? :ugh:

I think that the sets should include a bike, a minifigure and a ramp, but 10 euros it's too much for that

It could be a mix of this sets

I posted some days ago that LEGO released this in the past

Maybe the bike, one minifig and a similar ramp

But no more else if the set with most pieces has 17 parts

The shiny aspect of the road plates by virtue of them being tiles is one of the worst parts of this change. It makes city layouts look like they're built on rivers and lakes if you take a picture, with everything reflecting like it's water. The baseplates have a matte finish and allow for photography with no trouble. Just looks so ugly and wrong the new way. Sigh.

I have both the polybags, but what's the first set?

How is the new road plates? Nice?

Personally I find this new system interesting. I think I'll use a combination of the two systems. Below some plusses and minuses of this new system.

+ You can have all the straight roads you want
+ Modular roads and crosswalks
+ Accessoires like stop lights and road signs (although those can be gotten in Xtra polybags)
- No proper curved road (although technically you can make a turn by making an L shape)
- Height difference between base plates and these plates (making them compatible costs a lot)
- More expensive

I combined all the sets I've got so far, but unfortunately you don't get additional 2x4 dark blueish gray tiles, so I had swap around a few stuff, e.g. take the 1x4 tiles from the edges of the road plates and add two of them to the middle of a roadplate so I could use those 2x4 tiles to connect the different sets. And to fill up the empty slots that the 1x4's left behind I used those ramps.

You could use these new roadplates to make a highway that is not on the ground level. Plus you can use them for bridges.

You have risen an important point I forgot - Curved road. I hope Lego is going to solve

this problem next year. I like curved road a lot since Lego system

I wish naturally curved road would not be disappearing

by the way, I think the skate park is a bit overpriced.

The cheapest I can get here for new is approximately $27 US dollars, for 195 pcs. I think it is really overpriced.

Do you notice that other sets like ice-cream truck, fire rescue truck, helicopter of City theme could hit to around $13 us dollars and they are also about 200 pcs

The prisoner transport has a total of 244 pieces and costs 20€ but the skate park has less pieces and is more expensive

I think that is because of the road plate... All sets with roads are overpriced (60292 has the same pieces as 60233 but costs 10€ more for example)
