Does someone has a fix for the "hanging head" aka weak pivot joint for the front section of the truck?

I want to replace the small turntable behind the cabin with a large turntable.

And add ducatti shocks to each wheel.

Simple mod; Replace the red 16T gears in steps 38 and 58 with the standard grey 16T gears and 3L axles to reduce friction.

Did anyone notice that LEGO removed the instructions from their website?

Probably to quickly fix page 41 :)

I did this: added 2x 1x3 thin liftarms and replaced frictionless pins with the black ones

numbers at wrong place
62 and 63 should be interchanged

Ha just got mine working
it didn't calibrate, made the most terrible clicking noises...
studied the gears for hours and just found that I stuck the drive axle next to the axle connector at the joint between front and read.

The only gear I replaced is the tan 20t double bevel. I put an old one and it really spins much smoother. It is the first time I notice the difference between old and new tan 20t.

Some small mods to the cab and the bonnet.

The cab have been lowered by 1 stud, and the black bonnet is more angled.

Looks so much better!

When I get mine next week, I'll definetily do the same. Can you explain your changes in more detail?

The 4 pillars of the cab (black 15L liftarms) have been replaced by 13L liftarms , and located 1 stud lower. I also removed the orange light on the roof because now the roof results too low and it did not work anymore with the button of the smart hub (and it is also out of scale).

Finally I moved 1 stud lower the rotating pivot of the black bonnet. While building you will easily see how to do, otherwise I can take more photos next week.

Which type of suspensions for the rear axles is suitable for this set? Is dual pendular suspensions (42070 suspension) or dual live axles (42043 suspension) better?

The real A60H doesn’t have springs so do rocker bogie/pendulum

I think this set can't have proper dual pendulum suspensions like 42070. To have that, the rear mounting point of the last axle must be behind the 5x7 frame that houses the differential. 42070 has that set up, so it can have dual pendulum. In contrast, the rear mounting point of the last axle in the 42114 are on the sides of the frame.

I think I can only make the second axle pendular, and that should already be sufficient,

Nah don't do it like 42070, that's shit. Do proper rocket bogie suspension like in the real A60H

Dat's basically 42043 suspensions minus the springs.

When I will have the time I will try to install on the AH60 an improved rear springless suspensions I used on a 6x6 offroad truck (with or without planetary gear idk).

For illustration:

No it isn't, 42043 doesn't use rocker bogies
