Phase 3 Discussion

Very well detailed. I like it and the orangish-reddish colour depicts well our ideology.

The updated map cleans up the concerns with the game being a horrible slog. This should allow for quicker acquisition of territory and then into the battle phase.

Here is our Updated and revised Map. The Link has the UHD Version available. Some slight detail items have been removed as they have not been incorporated fully into the game as of yet so no point in adding them now. Updated rules for finishing the game will be discussed later. Apologies on the delays, real life has been killer lately. Thank you to @SATSOK for helping me with the map.

The map looks good. Question, how do the consolidated squares work for BB cash on the initial capture, and for monthly income now?

The month isn't over yet ... should we build according to previous map or wait to start with the new map ?

And what about the squares occupied by the "Brotherhood" ?

You guys can finish your builds for the month as originally planned and points will be awarded based on the old map.

We will kick off the new map next month. The rules will be as follows:

1. Movement will be the same rules as before. Players can only attack squares adjacent to their current teams holdings. Road ways allow for an extra move like before.

2. Water squares are essentially worthless in terms of points, but they may hold strategic advantages for you. Land squares will hold value. Players will be awarded random values like they are now. The map still matters visually.

3. Any squares colored on the map in KLR or PSIC shades are permanently captured and not up for grabs.

4. Player points and money still stand from before.

5. Remaining bonus ops are removed from the map.

6. Mercenary and Brotherhood squares are considered gone in terms of points.

7. The team that gets the most amount of land points before the game is over (this is in addition to the current land points you already hold), wins the game.

8. The player with the top overall score wins. UNLESS a single player takes the majority of squares in the final round that outweighs that person's score.

Rules are not complicated on purpose. The more questions you guys ask, the more complicated they will become. Good Luck.

Here is my proposition, what do you guys think? The blue is what PSIC Owns now and the Orangeyish is KLR.

Nice work, definitely an improvement.

It seems I did not set a hard end date for the game above *Scratches head*

I'm inclined to go with May 1, 2022. Any objections?

How do I play! Lets win the war! :cannon:

Read the rules first. Choose a faction: PSIC (NATO style, liberal ideology, western weapons such as M4A1 and the like), or KLR (the Eastern bloc, socialist ideology, eastern weapons such AK-47 and the like). After that, build your military minifig avatar, post your decision and avatar on GREAT BRICK WAR RELOADED SIGNUP thread, and build initially some PRESENTATIONs MOC, after that you can build campaign mission (conquering quadrants in the map), organizing with your faction, gain Brick Buck, and help progress your faction, and help win your faction. More quadrants your faction control at the end, your faction will win. More Brick Buck in total you gain at then end, you win. Actually we're shifting in a new reorganized map, but nothing in gameplay change. After that we shift (maybe by May or June) in another new gameplay, that we are organizing, with new rules, map, and more. Hope I helped :pir-thumb:

That helped, I guess I'll get started with that

One final thing, @TheBeeze, are construction limits (max 2 for player, per month) lapsed with the new map? if, so I hadn't noticed :sceptic:

So it was my understanding that with this being the final phase for this round and the new map the awnser is yes they were? Since next month we are entering a new game phase with a new theatre of war? Am I wrong?

@ParmBrick no, the rule has not changed. 2 per player per month & in connection to squares you already own.

In the case of @Feuer Zug and his extra build for E06, that is correct. KLR did win a special perk early on in the game allowing it to be built at any time and was related to a geographic point on the map. They just haven't used it until now.

Regarding @Brickwolf stating "build anywhere" I believe he was simply telling his guys not to strategize and take whatever squares they are able to. You cannot just attack random squares you are not connected to on the map.

I think I've covered everything, if not tell me.

I want to add another 2 points that have been brought up to me:

1. Yes, roadways still allow for an extra build. Take a look at the map.

2. These modified squares are generally going to be worth more since it is larger real estate. And like we've said all along, squares with things in them may be worth more depending on what they are. There are some good opportunities for some of you to make up some ground here.

I want to be clear, this game is FAR from over in terms of points and who is going to win (Both from the player and alliance point of view). The outcome WILL influence the next game.

You're a mean one, Mr Grinch. I had a grand idea, but now I can't use it. Guess I'll have to leave a mushroom cloud in my wake. JK. I do have an idea, but I would have followed the rules for taking squares. And you're still getting a glorious mushroom cloud.

I've forgotten, roadways do they need to be owned since the previous round and do they need to be owned by an ally of the builder? Were those the rules? Sorry I can't remember or find the details anywhere anymore. :def_shrug:

I'm having a discussion with the Team leaders right now about possibly amending some rules to make the game run a little quicker towards the end here. I didn't forget about you. Once we get confirmation, I'll make an announcement here.

After talking with the team leaders:

Current rule in place- each player gets 1 attack on a square per round. If an alliance has a road way piece, they can attack adjacent squares to the roads allowing for up to 2 builds.

I'm going to amend this given that the game is rapidly coming to a close and some of you really want to build. If a square is awarded, a player can do an additional attack in that same month based off of that square having a road. This will allow both teams to gain more ground faster. Though you both have some un-utilized road squares now.
