Ayrlego Posted June 28, 2020 Before the arrival of Corlander explorers in Myzectlan, the Myzec had very little skill in working metal. Apart from some primitive copper spear and arrow heads, most of their bladed weapons used prismatic blades made of obsidian or stone. The macuahuitl is the favoured melee weapon of most Myzec warriors. It is a large wooden club embedded with wicked obsidian blades along two edges. The obsidian is razor sharp, although being brittle it is extremely fragile. Even the best made macuahuitl require the blades to be changed regularly. Here a craftsmen specialising in the production of macuahuitl displays his wares to a warrior looking for a replacement weapon. I had a sudden urge this morning to build something Myzec so I threw this together as a result. It was nice to be inspired to build something again - hopefully the feeling will last! I am experimenting with a piece of yellowish card behind this build so that the white bricks aren't washed out (one of my greatest photography issues). I think it worked well... Will be licensed as a small artisan in Myzectlan.
deraven Posted June 28, 2020 Lovely little build. Nice colors, the building is simple but interesting, and that tree is nice as well.
blackdeathgr Posted June 28, 2020 Nice one, especially the base!
Professor Thaum Posted June 28, 2020 Lovely one indeed... Nice base, I will borrow the idea
weeble1688 Posted June 28, 2020 Beautifully done - the irregular base and tree are fantastic, and the theme is great! The only thing I would suggest is to change the dark bley round plates to trans-black/brown pieces if possible, since obsidian is generally translucent black volcanic glass. Just a thought ... Kai NRG Posted June 30, 2020 (edited) There's something funny about the shape of that tree. Really cool little shack! Kinda wish you had mixed one more color in with the tan ground, but it's a great little build. Edited June 30, 2020 by Kai NRG

Sir Kingston Posted June 30, 2020 You pulled off that base really well, it completes the scene
Khorne Posted June 30, 2020 A simple MOC, but it works really well. I love the allround color combinations. The lime green gives it a proper exotic feeling.
