[MOC] Black Wolf Company warehouse and docks

Recommended Posts

I originally built this as property for the Brethren of the Brick Seas section, but I figured it would be worth posting here as well, as I'm pretty pleased with the final result, and its my largest build I've attempted to date. I'm a sucker for the classic pirates era, and the color scheme of many of the original sets was my main inspiration for the build. I tried to find a balance in the building of including nostalgic color combinations, but with some newer techniques more realistic details. In addition, I wanted to tell a story with the minifigures of dock area teeming with life, without it being overcrowded or cluttered.

Spoiler

I initially built this as a 32x32 base with just the front of warehouse, but I wanted more detail, so I added the back portion. Then, I just decided to go all out for a 48x48 size, and added the wooden building and rock side piece.

Here is a little closer look at some of the details in and around the warehouse....

A secondary exit, and some chests of booty.

That's about it for this one. This is probably the biggest project I've taken on thus far, and it definitely stretched some of my brick collection with certain colors. This is also part of the reason why the white roof isn't complete all the way to the back, as I ran out of white flat plate pieces. But, it also makes viewing the interior easier.

C&C welcome as always!

You've certainly managed to achieve this

However, it feels like the exterior could use some extra details as it's looking a little "unfinished".

For example; you could add a crane in the front left-corner without overcrowding things too much.
