@efferman: Much thanks for the instructions, I actually was prepared to build it from the digital model alone, but very welcome. Say is there an easy way to find out, what parts I need in addition to the parts from 42111? I could import the digital model as parts list on Rebrickable, but couldn't find a way to compare that with the inventory of the 42111.

Try that one: https://rebrickable.com/sets/compare/slow/. It works smooth eneought.

Wait with the partslist, made a few errors in the instruction and a improvement in the model. Tomorrow evening maybe

Ok, no hurry, I am still waiting for my 42111 to ship. :classic:

Thanks a lot! I didn't recognize that one can also select a custom list for comparison. That should do it.

Hey guys! I've made my own working steering wheel addition to the set. It's meant to be very simple, and takes only 5 minutes to add! Here are the video instructions:

You can find a parts list in the video or on rebrickable: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-42313/BrickbyBrickTechnic/lego-42111-working-steering-wheel-mod/#comments

Thanks and happy modding!

@kbalage made a great stance mod, though had to sacrifice the fornt suspension. I wanted to give this a go myself and try to keep the front suspension, here's what I came up with:

Guys your work is amazing with the mods.

My original is staring at me at the shelf all the time for the past week and I'm having trouble with standing it's flaws but now I stumble upon this thread and I'm thrilled to put the mods in.

Thanks!

i guess with this bouncing the 20:12 Gearing has enough torque. Maybe trying 24:8 later.

Great! This is powered-up or power functions? (It's too fast to see the battery box clearly)

I'd love to see a video of this thing drifting around with taped-over tyres

This please!

Also modified front steering for bigger steering lock.

But please, I beg you, without neon or intercoolers. It's still Charger, not a JDM car...

Heheheh thanks for that. It's definitely getting there, but I think it has just a little bit left to go. I reckon you should give it a go with some tape anyway, just to smooth those rear wheels out as much as possible

Tested it. there is a difference, but makes no sense with my driving skill.

How did you fix the steering so it goes straight?

a better guidance for the steering rack and reduced play in the suspension arms.  same solution like on my 42099 modifications.

I've made an interior MOD for the car- I've added better seats anda full dashboard. I'm making these MODs such that the least amount of breaking/rebuilding is needed, this one should take about 10 minutes to apply but makes a big difference. Instructions are in the video!
