Hi,

Preparing things for TC18 while working at home...

Some ideas are comming.

In the end, I renamed it to WOW4x4x4 - White Orange Wheels 4x4x4 and it was like this:

Ok, so I have been playing with the idea of a 15L wide front drivetrain with 43.2x22 wheels, diff, steering and suspension.
And I did it. It even includes a kind of return to center feature.
It is so cool that I built a prototype 4x4x4 chassis, with a central diff too.
Chek it out:

Wow, I like your chassis!!!  The steering return, how does that work??

Thank you! Wow describes pretty well what I felt :-)

Look at the 4th image on my previous post, the "From above:" one.
Steering is done by the black 2x4 L-Shape Thick liftarms.
Next to it, you have a red 1x4 Thin liftarm. That is the return to center thing.
When you turn to, say, left, the right 2x4 black liftarm will bend the 1x4 thin liftarm.
It is also very useful to avoid the tires to touch the structure.

fantastic!!

so many options and space for body, interior etc

Thank you!

Yes, but also a challenge!
The whole thing is so big that it uses much of the space... I mean, the diff is the same size of the rims, that is a bit ridiculous :classic:... and the center diff, is a almost inaccessible because of the steering axle...
Well, this is only prototype 1, lets move forward, weekend is comming!

Nice work sofar, great set of mechanics in there:thumbup: Seems this competition is bringing a lot of novelties to the Corvette scale!

Hi,

Today I played a bit with engines.

Not very useful for my MOC, it is too big, but still it is a W12, so I decided to share with you anyway...

I tried with bushes and two half bushes but it looks like a hedgehog.

The problem is that it needs an empty space between each piston so that the pistons don't mix together in the engine interior.

Some progress today.

It now has an engine. Some inspiration from fellow competitors, thank you to them!

Long time no post....

The original chassis is very good but it is very bulky.... So I tried to reduce it´s size:

2020-04-10_21.10.10_res.jpg

2020-04-10_21.10.29_res.jpg

The size reduced a lot!

On top of that chassis I made this:

2020-04-12_20.33.26_res.jpg

It is a bit difficult to build around such big drive trains...

Very cool chassis with lots of technic stuff

Thank you!

I like the chassis too, but it is a bit hard to build a car on top of it. It might be easier for a unimog like vehicle.

I think truck-like vehicles are not allowed for this contest.

The moc gives me a Saint-Tropez beach vipe! It needs a fold-able windscreen and the technic-dude with sunglasses. If I would drive around in this car I would smile all time and my eye-browns would not look as grumpy as the ones of this guy!

:classic::classic::classic:

And yes, foldable wind screen was on my thoughts, it even might be simple!

But I am still not happy with the chassis, it uses a lot of space.... We still have some time so I will work a bit more on that.

Unfortunatelly the only other technic dude I have is the one with the grey electronic eye...

Hi!

So, after all, no major changes in the chassis. It now is a compromise between space and functionality. Shock absorbers are now horizontal which makes suspension less efficient but saves a lot of space. There is a video of it in the end.

There are now some improvements. Foldable windshild, spare tire, a small trunk in the back, a roof, the possibility to replace the back seats with a small box making a litle truck, and a smaller roof for the truck.

And now I will have to learn how to do a proper video.
