"Actually, young Wesley, you lost." Q said, appearing behind him. "What do you mean? Riker's strategy of coasting under the radar and taking advantage of confusion was actually a scum play??" "Yes. Well Picard, you and your friends can come back now!" With another flash and snap, the entire crew appeared on the bridge. "Do you mean to say that this is over now, Q?" Picard asked. "Yes. yes. You can go on your archeology expedition now or whatever you had in mind. I'll be watching though." With that, Q vanished again, leaving the crew on their own. Congratulations to Commander Riker / Darkdragon for an excellent game! Kudos as well to Beverly Crusher / mostlytechnic for watching from the deadboard for ages! --- There's a fair bit to say, but I'm hoping everyone at least had some fun! I've got Pirates II ready to go as soon as we've digested this. I'll have a sign-up thread for it Bob sucks, probably tomorrow or so. It'll be an anonymous game with more than 8 spots. I said it in the deadboard, but the days of Zepher's Eurodina have long past (a record 42 players!). We've been having to struggle to get a full sign-up load lately. I'm hoping that with Pirates II it might be different, perhaps if we advertise it more, maybe even on the front page. I feel horrible There were certain things I did to seem like unquestionable town and I guess it worked. It was really hard for me, especially extending the days to be even more townie. I wanted to change my vote at the last minute but was worried Pandora was lurking invisibly and you guys would instantly vote me together. I'll hve to find the exact thing you said but you did figure out my whole plan around....Day 3 or 4 and posted it but convinced yourself it couldn't be true. mostlytechnic Posted March 10, 2020 Darkdragon, that was truly impressive. I think I had more fun watching from the deadboard than I'd have had still alive. You nailed being active enough to not be suspicious, but quiet enough to let them all fight it out :) On day 1, I thought the game would be over. With my original scum buddy not showing up, I expected the game to just get rebooted. Actually had conversations with bob about that. But then he found a replacement and decided to keep going, and what a great move that was from the host seat. Sorry for over role-playing and getting myself lynched for it :) Seriously all, I was just joking around on day 1 with accusing Wes of being my scum buddy, and the "deliberate bad logic" and all that. It was just a joke and got turned into so much more by you all... I voted for Riker early on since he wasn't around, it made it easy to justify a vote and retract it once he showed up. Oh yes, you proved without a doubt you were town, I was just too much of a coward at the end to say so. I did have my voice actors record a line for the end of my film to use if you guys voted me in the last moments though. That's how nervous I was! It was great. I'm so glad it's over. When there's no investigations or night kills to analyze, EVERYONE can look town and then it's just picking at tiny details that can be argued as scummy to lynch each day.
