I would really like to build this. I wonder roughly how much the bricks would cost?

I've seen estimates in the $2500 range.

Ouch! Has to be one of the ultimate Star Wars builds though.

Mhh while this Project is just insane i can't help but think:

That Tower/Bridge looks out of proportion

maybe it's just the angle of the shot

but those Turbolaser Turrets are definitly too big

not that i could build something like that but it bothers me

The person who designed it said as much in regards to both of your concerns.  In fact, he actually went out of his way in the video that he produced to specifically point out that bridge was 3 studs too wide on each side and four studs too tall (at the 2 minute 18 second mark of linked video).  Still, I think it is unquestionably quite an achievement in Lego design.

What I find most remarkable about that article is what it says about the 2019 UCS Star Destroyer:

“I started building it in my free time at work,” says Henrik Andersen, lead designer for the official Imperial Star Destroyer model. Henrik’s supervisors noted his passion project and tasked him to make it official, assigning him a deadline and a price point of about $700.
