Third Party Rucks, Back Packs, Assault Packs

This is my review of the current range of backpacks, rucks, satchels, and assault packs that I currently own. I did not include any of the original lego packs as everyone knows the deal there. Also, I did not include any tinytactical packs as they require gluing/modification. I realize this may not be a complete list but hopefully this will be a decent enough review / guide to help some of you in your future purchases. You are all welcome to add others below that I may not have here.

(REAR PICTURE BELOW)

1. Brick Warriors - Radio Pack - This is a fairly new design that has come out within the last 2 years or so from Brickwarriors offered in a few different colors. There is a single stud attachment point on the back which is compatible with several different brands of vests and plate carriers. https://www.brickwarriors.com/radio-pack/

2. Brick Forge - Backpack - This pack from Brickforge is a very generalized backpack with a clip hook on each side for accessories or weapons. Unfortunately this pack is an around the neck attachment point so it can't be used with vests and plate carriers.

3. Minifigcat - BP17 - This is a modern day assault pack. It has a carry handle and some molle webbing on it. There are 2 bumps protruding from the sides which I don't know what they are for, but in the past minifigcat has introduced products in waves so it is possible these could be used to attach items in the future. The pack attaches by way of a single stud and has cut outs to fit on their plate carrier attachments.

4. Minifigcat - BF16 - This is their original pack which has been around for a while. It is a modern pack with some webbing on it that attaches by way of a single stud. This pack has 2 features that none of the others do: 1. It actually opens up and you can fit something tiny in it 2. It is made of a rubbery material instead of a hard plastic. Available in several colors. https://www.minifigcat.com/shop/Categories-c-4/Armor-and-Shield/Backpack-BF16-c-859/

5. Brick Warriors - British Knapsack - A more traditional approach to backpacks / rucks with this one. This is an older model of gear but still does the trick for modern applications. There is an added bonus of 2 attachment hooks on each side of the pack to clip on accessories. The downside of this pack is that it is a around the neck design which does not allow it to be used with vests and plate carriers. https://www.brickwarriors.com/british-knapsack/

6. Brick Forge - Rucksack - This is a great pack not based on any one design in particular. It looks like it was designed generally to be used in any era. The bag has some great features (in addition to being available in a lot of colors)- It has 2 of the brick forge attachment points on it so you can trick it out with other pouches, canteens, or hook clips from them. It also has a general carry handle so minifigs can carry them. This features brickforges stud/attachment point system so you can use it with most vests and plate carriers, but you can also attach it to shoulder slings and other items in Brickforges proprietary line of items. The bag also features a bottom cut out groove for use with Brick Forge's tac belts (I imagine it will fit the minifig cat ones also) and the attachable Sleeping bag / bed rolls to the belts.

7. Brick Forge - Satchel - This is a small pack available in a ton of colors. This is an old school pouch that can also be used in a modern application (they look great on plate carriers). This features brickforges stud/attachment point system so you can use it with most vests and plate carriers, but you can also attach it to shoulder slings and other items in Brickforges proprietary line of items. https://brickforge.com/products/satchel?_pos=1&_sid=c9a25dcae&_ss=r

8. Brick Warriors - Rucksack - Also an older model from WWI/II era but again will still get the job done on a modern look too. This has a single stud attachment point so it is perfect for use with vests and plate carriers. Added bonus of a clip hook on each side of the pack. https://www.brickwarriors.com/rucksack/

9. Minifigcat - BPE07 - This is an interesting pack that I decided to include here which some might argue it shouldn't be. The pack is designed to replicate the rear mounted power packs on Star Wars Battle Droids. Hear me out, when you stick this thing on a plate carrier it very much resembles a modern day slim pack with a small antenna for comms. It is available in minifigcat's full color assortment and attaches by way of a single stud. It's worth checking out. https://www.minifigcat.com/shop/Categories-c-4/Armor-and-Shield/backpack-bpe07/

I find that BF16s are really useful and versatile, as a happy owner of many of these. I look forward for BPE07s of which I did not know the existence, and could be useful as an addition and completion for my military minifigures, I find that they are very well suited to this theme, despite the theme of origin.

Personally, the Brickforge backpack & Brickwarriors British Rucksack having built-in neck attachments is a HUGE factor in their favor:  It means I can save a ton of money by NOT having to buy either additional accessories or those standard Lego neck bits with the stud, and thus buy more actual backpacks (or helmets or other gear).  In fact, of the two, the Brickforge backpack is my favorite by far because it, unlike the BW one (or for that matter the LEGO backpack with bedroll) can be used with BrickArms Stalhelms & similar helmets with back parts that sit really low on a minifig's head...  I mean I have gone with #8 on the list due to the Brickforge backpacks seeming to have been discontinued (at least in redish brown), but due to BW pricing & having to buy neck attachments for each pack, it doubled or even tripled the cost over the BrickForge pack (depending on whether BW was having a sale on the rucksacks & the current prevailing prices for the neckpate stud thingies on BrickLink).

Brick warrior radio pack is easily the best lego ww2 us radio pack ever made, maybe the only ever made.
