Stephle59 Posted January 22, 2020 (edited) Here is a project that I have been maturing for 4 years and which finally takes shape from this year, inspired by a french comic strip from Arthur De Pins.. Throughout this topic, you can follow the progress of the project and the WIP. This first post will bring together only the completed games and winks to the universe. For those who do not know Zombillenium, visit Dupuis, the editor of Arthur de Pins (link in french):https://www.dupuis.com/seriebd/zombillenium/3204 Quote Summary : At Zombillenium Amusement Park, you only hire for an indefinite period. The selection criteria are not too hard, we just refuse simple mortals. Francis von Bloodt, a vampire by trade, manages this small business that is not experiencing the crisis ... Park map: 1. Gretchen and his Mini Cooper S : 2. Carousel with skulls : Great inspiration from those found in the comic strip park, but which I found a bit repetitive, especially this one. 3. "At work !" :Zombillenium - "At work !" by Stephle59, sur Flickr 4. "Cheeeeers..."Zombillenium - "Cheeers... Creepy family photo !" by Stephle59, sur Flickr The family photo, with from left to right: - Sirius Jefferson the skeleton - Aton Noudjemet the mummy - A demon worker like Aurelien Zahner - Francis Von Bloodt the vampire and director of the park - Blaise Canilhac the werewolf and director of human resources - Gretchen Webb the witch 5. Candy shop :Zombillénium - Main Street, Candy shop by Stephle59, sur Flickr To be continued... Edited January 22, 2020 by Stephle59

Vindicare Posted January 22, 2020 This looks fantastic, and quite the undertaking. I love that entrance building. The iron fence, the masonry brick walls turned on their side, and the dark tan tiles on the edge. Great color combination.
peedeejay Posted January 23, 2020 Interesting and very unique project! The build you did so far look great, especially the carousel.
carebear Posted January 23, 2020 WOW! Love the Carousel with Skulls! This would look amazing in any town! Great Great Work! Greetings!
Stephle59 Posted January 23, 2020 (edited) Glad to read you comments :) Indeed, the color scheme is voluntarily saturated by the author of the comic, so I took the same principle. The entrance building is not exactly the same as the presentation image, because I have little information on it. What you also need to know is that he officially supports the project on Instagram, it's super motivating to move forward. He also gave me many sketches to advance on some of the buildings of the amusement park. Here are some example in WIP too. I have to make more recent photos, they are a bit old. I promise, it will happen quickly :) I forgot: inside the candy shop Edited January 23, 2020 by Stephle59
TheLegoDr Posted January 23, 2020 I've never heard of this, but this is incredible. Well done! I wish I had something I was that passionate about to live out in LEGO form. It makes the build more satisfactory when you can visualize the things you love.
Vindicare Posted January 23, 2020 That’s awesome that the artist is even helping you realize this. That has to be really satisfying & fuels you even more.
Maple Posted January 24, 2020 I'm so happy your carousal has a brick built roof something LEGO seems to forget to do. (I typed this days ago and never hit submit.)

Stephle59 Posted February 18, 2020 Saturday was a great day for me : the author, Arthur de pins, authorized me to publish the sketches which were used for the film and the comic strip. So I can now show you a comparative view of the drawn version and its in LEGO parts : Main Street WIP by Stephle59, sur Flickr I used dark purple parts for the building to the right, instead of magenta parts, because LEGO inventory is limited to make some hard forms, and I have got a lot of parts in dark purple too
Vindicare Posted February 18, 2020 This is looking fantastic. The details on those buildings is cool, I really like the white & teal best.

Kintobor Posted March 11, 2020 This looks incredible! I'm not familiar with the source material, but you've done an incredible job translating the source material into model form. Awesome stuff!
Stephle59 Posted March 16, 2020 Ooooh thank you Kintobor, glad to read you like it ! And now, first part of Main Street almost done : Zombillenium Main Street WIP by Stephle59, on Flickr Definitely, this dark purple building, the more I see it, the more I love it. I found a dark turquoise dish 3 x 3 coming soon, that will finish the gray building too As a bonus, a quick little creation made on Sunday, a vignette inspired by one of the last Instagram posts that Arthur de Pins published and which presents a very small part of a vignette from one of the cases in volume 5 : Francis Von Bloodt - "Problem fixed !" by Stephle59, on Flickr To get out of the Main Street build and present my vision of the vignette, a little less gore than the original, but most of the elements are there. The lighting and the light / dark side are voluntary, it gives a little idea of the atmosphere. Francis always has class ! Volume 5 will be titled "Black Friday". Svendp Posted March 23, 2020 I love where this is going. I don't know the comic books, but I like the originality of it. It must be very nice to find out the real author likes the idea and supports you with sketches now and than. Looking forward to see more. Keep on building
