It just keeps getting better. I love the look of the brick bricks street. I really enjoy seeing the progress of this build, so keep them coming!

Amazing project! I bet the author is as thrilled with your work as you are with his support. It's nice when something like this brings people together to work on a project from different angles. I look forward to the next expansion.

Thank you so much.
I regularly chat with the author on Instagram, who follows the progress of the amusement park very closely. It is true that seeing it transposed into Lego bricks, and therefore giving it a dimension in physical 3D gives me great satisfaction, just like him. Then he discovers what we can do with Lego bricks, apart from what the brand markets, which improves his curiosity even more.

As promised some news of the progress of the park below :

Zombillenium - WIP, May 2020 by Stephle59, on Flickr
My carpet is 1.90m long, the diorama occupies it almost entirely now.
Some information: around 42,000 pieces installed today; 255 working hours since October 2019. I must update the demon skull gate too.

"Aerial" view of the entrance and Main Street. The paving is almost finished (missing an order that I have not yet received)

Small view of Main Street and overview of some details of the dark red and tan building under construction. You will soon see a little more on this one (for those who have not seen it on Instagram or Facebook)

Maybe a bit weird color (combination) on the houses but looks great :classic: especially the brown/tan colored building.
It looks a bit empty and deserted new but i'm sure it's gonna be 'solved' soon.
the Entrance looks great with those skulls and the cars ... great, very recognisable too

The advance of the moment is it:

Zombillénium - Carousel with skulls, v2.0 by Stephle59, on Flickr

No major exterior change, the biggest job is the engine!
Here, unlike the 10257 carousel, I couldn't integrate the same technique of the rack mechanism, because of lack of space ... The challenge was that everything was almost invisible, and that I did not exceed the thickness of a brick and a tile to stay at Main Street level.
How did I do it?
First, an M motor is integrated into the fixed central hub of the arena. I had to completely review the initial framework and design so that not only can it enter, but the roof of the carousel and its heavy weight does not come to explode everything...
Secondly, the plate is moved by contact with rubber tires. The problem is that since the bricks are smooth, slippage is very important. So I had to cheat: to increase the grip on the tray, I added strips of 3M masking tape for painting below, the surface of which is rough.
Finally, with regard to the transmission, to slow down the speed of the motor M, I started on a classic worm + gear, followed by an antagonistic transmission system. And the chainring ends up being supported by a set of freewheels also shod with rubber tires.

I filmed the movement obtained. Click on the photo to access the video :

I loved the comics (have not seen the cartoon), and your build does justice to its atmosphere!

Interesting, ambitious project! It looks like a very eery park to visit. Do you plan to fill the park with minifigures?

New season is coming !

Here is the sketch of the roller coaster, from Bruno Couchinho used for the film.
This gives you a good idea of what it will look like:

The picture is not great, but you can see the positioning of the two towers in the film, the warehouses, the easels, ...
The roller coaster circuit is not at all functional. I'm going to reinterpret it, and actually make two in parallel, with two separate entrances (one in the central building, the other in the adjoining annex).

Delivery of this huge part is scheduled for September 2021.
I will show the WIP during this period.

Fist part of this new season, the mining headframe :
50283301792_9429a881db_c.jpg
Zombillénium, mining headframe by Stephle59, on Flickr

This is the structure that allows miners and ore to ascend / descend via an elevator shaft.
In the long term, there will be two along the main tower, that of management.
I have remained faithful to Arthur de Pins' uncluttered drawing.

Here is the final version about the toilets of the amusement park.
We start with the facade and the back of the building:

After three tries, the face that adorns the facade is finally finished. I hope you will be indulgent, this is a first for me .
As a reminder, this building does not exist: I was therefore inspired by the universe for this 100% original creation.

Here you find a view of the interior, this time complete:

Industrial style deliberately asserted, with exposed metal beams, industrial suspensions, ventilation, etc.
... and the little extra detail: the smoke evacuation through the roof, with the trigger button in bright orange near the white panel next to the door.

Finally, a view of some details:
50325702348_e0d527b66f_c.jpg

We can see the roof windows integrated into the corrugated iron, and a close-up of the industrial ventilation.

I can't wait to show you the logo that will be located behind the deamon skull's gate, on the entrance posts:

50344988113_84488d8055_c.jpg
Zombillénium - Logo by Stephle59, on Flickr

It is almost entirely made with bones: skeletal arms and legs, horns,...
Its implementation will necessarily be "illegal build", given the few possible fixings. I will have to fix it with transparent rubber bands ...
... When I have found how to compensate for the forces exerted on the posts ...

Because I cannot do an exhibition this year, I am offering you the first virtual tour of the amusement park, after a little over a year of work. I advise you to watch it until the end :)

Last update of the project.
A little more than 4 hours of work on this little "thing":

Zombillénium, Roller coaster's cart - prototype by Stephle59, on Flickr

The prototype, in final version.
Direct inspiration from this bottom right screenshot from the film.
More than to order the black plates: sorry:
The fig served as a template, with her long hair. Suddenly, all minifigs can go inside.
I'm pretty happy with the roll bars. What do you think ?
