Hi, just wanted to try myself in this contest. I've got an idea for rebel tow truck.

functions:

  • Lowering/raising towing arm (small actuator)
  • Lowering/raising hook (rachet mechanism)
  • Openable trunk
  • Working 16V engine (powered by PF M motor) designed by @Didumos69
  • Live axle suspension 2x PF XL motor 3:1 raito
  • Front axle steering PF Servo
  • Deatachable body (hold by 4 easy to access pins)

It's not finished yet but I think worth to show ;)

Springs were switched from hard to soft (from Dark Grey set)

Offroad performance is pretty good, I'd say not the best offroader on the planet but it can handle some slopes well.

What do you think?

I especially like the exhaust pipes in flat silver :-)

If you have 4 of the spaghetti pieces left, maybe you can put them on the end to face outwards? Looks maybe even cooler :pir-devil:

Just started optimizing this build in stud.io, also more Reddish Brown stuff is on its way. I think this color fit to Mad Max theme the most :)

The colourscheme of the digital model is awesome! I also really like the way the body and exhaust pipes are built.

Thanks a lot guys! It's very motivating!

Here's what I got. All parts ordered to make it live (yeah, golden chicken too). When all BL orders arrive I'll show you how this build look in real

also exhaust was changed to Pearl Dark Grey because it's much more available to get.

Very nice, especially the use of those Power Miners spike wheels on the Rims. Fits the contest theme perfectly. But you should add something more to the rear, it looks kinda naked rn, compared to the rest of the truck. Maybe slap some fuel Canisters on there, or some more chains.

Thanks! There will be more details on rear, I have to check first how much space will left.

For now I have some renders of actual build. Bricks are on its way to me, so soon I'll check how it look in real.

and here was a quick experiment how it look with tracks on the rear but I don't think that fit.

stickers are from 42082, 2 handles to operate arm and hook, and one lever to release hook rachet.

4x PF LED inside, so there's a bit too much of wires as alaways :enough:

Oh man this looks better with every iteration! Love the skull and the new rims :-)

It's sad that they can't have glowing eyes :cry_sad:

Okay, this question might be stupid if I somehow fail to understand how engine stuff works, but I am pretty sure the air intake on the a-pillar is useless. The air for the engine is sucked in by the supercharger intake on top of the engine, and pushed straight into the Engine itself.

I love the build, so I just wanted to point this out

This has such a strong mad max vibe.. Even without a monster truck chassis, it would work great with a normal truck chassis too! But i like the aggressive look!

It will be not a problem to build it  lower, chassis is separated from the body.

Ok, so bricks in color I wanted has arrived. Also engine cover was replaced with less saturated color.

I think i prefered the purple fenders more.

EDIT:
Now that i compared them side by side. I think the blue version is better.

Wow, the body is super great, but I would preffer to see much lower chassis.

Agreed!

Every mad max vehicle currently is very over the top. This bodywork is amazing but the monster truck chassis below kinda is too much.
A lower chassis would fit better.
