TrixBrix for Lego 9volt switch

Recommended Posts

Hello ,

I can't find information for this ,maybe some one here on the forum has try this .

I have a 9volt train Layout and some day's ago i found this :

https://www.trixbrix.eu/en_US/p/4-Switch-Combo/154

They use the control for the swith only the regular tracks and not the 9volt tracks ,did some one try this control system with the 9volt switch ?

Thanks .

As far as I can tell the switch motor only works with their switches, not Lego's. If you click through the pictures for the servo motor you will see that they remove a part from the switch and replace it with another, something you can't do with the Lego switches (AFAIK). But it's probably best to ask them.

Don't use their stuff but think this is what you want - https://www.trixbrix.eu/en_US/p/Servo-Motor-for-Original-Lego-Switches/144

The 4DBrix ones work with 4DBrix and Lego (but not TrixBrix) - https://www.4dbrix.com/products/train/track-switch-motor/

The attachments look very similar which makes you wonder if they are cross compatible, the 4DBrix ones definitely came first.

I personally use 4DBrix their stuff is directly compatible with Lego.  They have a good selection of switches that operate the same way as the lego.  I can run my pnumatic switch on them ... Could not do that with Trix.

Can also get the original Lego 12v switch motors to work with the 4DBrix switches (doubt possible with Trix). Will post a tutorial when I have things tidied up a bit (new layout post house move), if anyone is interested in the meantime feel free to PM me.
