[MOC] MINIs from The Mandalorian - 9 Models including NEW 546-Class Arquitens Cruiser (Moff Gideon's flagship)

Recommended Posts

I had forgetten about this ship, but after re-watching the scene it appears in, it looks great, very accurate to the source model. If you want to build another ship from the series, it could be interesting to make the bounty hunter ship from the end of episode 6, or the outland TIE, with the wing hinges. Agreed that there aren't many ships though, I think the only other ones we see are well known from the films or beyond the scale of starfighters.

do you mean what looks like a modified P38? A clone wars version is already on my to do list. And after looking at this episode again I might have to have a go at the prison ship too.

Yeah, in-universe it's a color swap of cad bane's xanadu blood. Nice to hear you've already got the CW version on your list, same with the prison ship. The figure could be Matt Lanter's cameo!

Is there a parts list of the Razor Crest?

I am building a "foil scale" fleet of ships using the foil X-Wing as my scale of 6 studs equals 15 meters. This razor crest is only one stud longer than I calculated so I think it would work for me.

I already have the ghost complete and am working on an Alliance Escort Carrier.

@martinsuper Hi, I don’t have a parts list as I do not build virtually and only order parts I do not have from BrickLink. You should be able to easily work out the parts from the exploded pictures earlier in the thread.

@obijon First off great job on your moc!  I went ahead and recreated it in Studio 2.0.  Would you mind if I shared the digital model file on in this thread?

Or you could contact the member above who has kindly created a studio file!

So the poly bag Xwing and Slave 1 were already to scale. Then I made the Ghost in the same scale. So this Razor Crest fits right in. I think it's only one stud off to be totally correct scale.

Fabulous work ...The proportions on both of them are impeccable ...Fine play!

Thanks very much.

@martinsuper - glad to see you have built it.  I didn't realise the Ghost was so big compared to the Razor Crest1

Me neither until I looked them both up. Makes sense though. Razor Crest is a gunship and Ghost is a freighter.

Now I just need to get my Alliance Escort Carrier done to scale and they will all have a home to sit in.

NEW REPUBLIC PRISON SHIP

Hello again everyone

As promised here is the New Republic Prison Ship from Episode 6 of The Mandalorian.

I am quite happy with how this on turned out.  It has the correct number of sections etc.  It is built using 2x2 brackets and those 1x2x2 bricks with studs on the side to get varying depths.  The front is connected using 3 1x1 bricks with one stud attached to the 3 holes on the bottom of a 2x4 plate. The tricky part was the vertical engines at the back.  In the end I kept it simple by just adding a pile of 1x2 plates to the 3x2 tiles on the sides.  They don't quite meet in the middle but i can live with that.

I have also built a New Republic Security Droid.  The head is attached using a 1x1 vertical clip plate attaced to one of those 1x1 round tiles with pin.  That double 1x1 slope was perfect for it's chin.

Let me know what you think.

Jon

Hi Jon. Very detailed ship, thank you for sharing. I would like to build it in Studio and wondered if you wouldn't mind sharing the parts list?

Cheers

That's fantastic thank you. I'm guessing the pieces that do not have a quantity next to 'Want' is only 1?

This thread is amazing...excellent work. I really love ships in this scale. More detail than micro but not something that takes up a ton of shelf space. I wish Lego would release sets like this for no other reason than to get official name plates (truth be told: I don't want to go to the trouble to do it myself). And thank you for sharing the piece lists and methods. Great stuff!

Thanks very much.  Sharing is what the community is for.   As for the name plates, they are actually not much trouble, once the template has been set up in excel it is just a case of printing them off on to a sticker. There are also other threads for Original Trilogy, Prequels, Rogue One, Solo and the 3 animated series Clone Wars, Rebels and Resistance if you want some more ideas.
