[Factions Ep. 3] [Noehon - K16 - Noe'ha'on] [K16 - Noe'ha'on - Triumvirate] A meeting

Well, folks, it's been a while, but I think it's probably time we set this down for the record.
I had been enjoying my retirement for a couple of years when the money started to run out. My bankers on Nar Shadaa ripped me off by quite a tidy sum, and the casinos took a large chunk of what was left.
More to the point, I was yearning for adventure again. New worlds; new people; risk; excitement!
So, I packed up shop, sold anything that wouldn't fit a respectably-sized yacht, and headed core-wards.
I'd heard that one of the imperial remnants, an outfit called The Triumvirate, was making a go of it. Maybe they would stand the test of time, maybe not, but there was bound to be enough credits flying around to set me up nicely in luxury and style.
Now, a man with my background knows how to set up summits as well as he knows how to walk. I can broker agreements with my eyes closed. But I wanted something a little more impressive. So I went to Noe'ha'on.
If you don't know it, I wouldn't recommend summering there. The native sentients are a bunch of insectoids called the Noehons, who are all about power complexes and crippling anxiety.
The big game there is K'lor Slugs, which frankly speaks for itself.
But it has a lot to recommend it to a government on the rise, including a ready source of cheap labour. So I was there to broker an agreement.
I contacted the big-wigs at the Triumvirate, and told them I had an offer they'd be mad to ignore. They sent their best field agent, a chap by the name of Commander Bannon (nice enough chap, if you can get past the perma-scowl).

Meeting on Noe'ha'on

So, I told Bannon that I had come to broker an agreement between the Noehons and the Triumvirate: access to that steady stream of cheap labour, in exchange for support for the current alpha; Vu'rekh (old friend; we'd done business in the past, and he's about as reliable as you can expect in these parts).

Meeting on Noe'ha'on

I also presented Bannon with a bust of old Lord Vader, forged in the fires of Mustafar from the wreckage of the Death Star itself. Said if it didn't go with his wall-paper he was more than welcome to pass it on with my compliments. Most old imperials admired Vader, but there a few out there who had relatives who... got in his way.

Meeting on Noe'ha'on

Not being the diplomatic type, he rounded on me and ask what my game was. I figured the bluff, soldiery type would probably just appreciate the honest truth, so I said I wanted a wage, a ship, and a chance to get my hands on an RT-97C. That raised a smile, thank the stars.
And with that, the Triumvirate had offered me a job. Nothing like the old Planetary Governor gig, but a solid emissary posting. The ship, and the gun would have to wait...

I have to comment on this publicly - your writing is exceptional! Great work, and super entertaining read. The Vader bust is a win! :vader:

Great use of that 1x4 brick that's half light bley and half dark bley for the door surrounds, it adds a nice change of angle and spices things up.
