Terry Akuna Posted September 28, 2019 My first try at building a wooden gondola. I'll build a few more versions before I go into production for my layout.
Vilhelm22 Posted September 28, 2019 Looks great! How many of the wood pattern parts do you need per gondola?

Terry Akuna Posted September 28, 2019 Here is version 2.
zephyr1934 Posted September 29, 2019 I think v2 looks better, nice work. If you stick with v1, I'd suggest using just one 1x6 tile for each of the two middle verticals on each side instead of a pair for each.
CaL Posted September 29, 2019 Very nice! In which original set where the wood pattern tiles used?
Feuer Zug Posted September 29, 2019 Both are nice, but I feel version 2 is the better design. It gives the feel of cast iron supports holding up the wood. The thinner vertical supports also make it look better I think. Nice work and a definite contrast to your modern cars on the next siding.
Paperinik77pk Posted October 1, 2019 I personally Like the V2 more - the use of 1x6 wooden planks is more realistic, plus the black bricks with studs are perfect. Thumbs Up!!!

I agree 100%, v2 looks better but if you use just one 1x6 tile for each of the two middle verticals also v1 could be the best choice A great and an original work any way!
