Hi Suffocation.

I am trying to locate the bricks&pieces shop. Is it on Bricklink? Also, why is it I cannot see any of your photos, I just get these huge Brick not found  jpgs instead. Makes following your posts a little difficult to see where you are coming from. I have been trying to find anyone selling the new longer Linear actuators, but so far with no look apart from lego.com itself, from whom I have ordered 2.

Thanks

Brian

one of two avenues to purchase parts from lego, along side pick a brick.

I wonder if it would be beneficial/too excessive to add a third XL actuator between each pair of XL actuators on efferman's modified boom? (so 3+3+3 XL + 2 M linear actuators. Unless the two M actuators for the bucket can be replaced with two L actuators. hmm.

Thanks, this is the exact route I used to get mine. Thankfully they were in stock. The hubs and motors seem to be permanently out of stock, but I cannot see the point of getting them without the rest of the set.

My face shovel? Two xl actuators are enough to push the liebherr around while digging. On the Backhoe we will see...

edit: same reduction as in the set.

Looking good, is the reach extended over stock? Certainly looks longer.

Is this using the standard app still?

Hi Guys, I have recently finished building 42100.

Any solution to the loose tracks? Removing 1 pice is not possible. When im trying to rotate it on carpet sometimes the gears slip on the tracks...

Also any other mods to be easily done so the set might feel better?

I haven't encountered the problem myself, but you could look into moving the carriers at the top further towards the end of the track and/or including a tensioner (like in 42094A)

The clicking noise when rotating on carpet is normal, its the new clutch slipping due to overload.

But agreed is not very nice, its very smooth in straight lines and rotating on smooth surfaces, but really struggles with the carpet rotate.

When i built the undercarriage I didn't bother with the clutches (I also wish i removed the slewing one too), and removed a link per track and it turns and pivots smoothly

Nope i can hear the difference in slipping clutch and when the tracks slip on the gears. Also i can see that the tracks are slipping.

Removing a pice per track was not possible to me it is getting too tight then.

moving the front sprocket a half stud forward was a good solution on my undercarriage.

The Mainboom seems to need a second motor

try replacing the 20 tooth idler half bevel gears with something wider like a 6 hole pulley wheel.

Hopefully it drives better than V3

Can you post pic directly from top? How will you turn on the hub?

Also what do you think about adding rubber inserts into the tracks? The model is heavy, wont it affect turning too much?

With the orange yellow Liftarm, the green button will be pushed.

With two C+XL at 1:1 gearing the speed is satisfying

Thank you very much.

For all which are using the standard undercarriage. Does it drive better ore worse on carpet than in the vid?

Any change there will be instructions for the undercarriage? Looks really compact and more true to the real machine
