Autism Bricks UK

Hello From Martin

Recommended Posts

Ayup, my name is Martin and I am the Social Enterprise Coordinator at Specialist Autism Services based in various locations in the UK.

One of our social enterprises is Autism Bricks UK. With the use of donated lego, we hold weekly lego workshops where our members work on their own or group projects sometimes even outside commissions.

We find that the use of lego is a great way to practice social skills, encourage communication and stimulate creativity.

I personally am a great fan of Lego, my partner and myself collect minifigs and have over 200 (prob not big by AFOL standards). I am very creative with a design background and like to make my own models and artwork with lego.

I've developed a keen interest in Lego therapy and I am hoping to develop my knowledge and experience in this field.

If you think there is anything that may be of interest to me or if you just want to chat about anything mentioned about please drop me a line.

Martin

Hi Martin - welcome to EB!  Sounds like a great organization, and hopefully you'll find plenty of inspiration and support here so you can do even more good with your efforts.  Happy building!  :classic:
