Caribbean Clipper 2019 and Bigger Caribbean Clipper 1989

As for my son's wish we had to change the Caribbean Clipper 2019 because we needed the sails for the Caribbean Clipper 1989, just to make it bigger.  He badly wanted to have the blue coats also at least one bigger ship.

So here it is, Gouvernor Broadside's Caribbean Clipper 1989 in big, strictly to the plan from the OriginalOne, and the New 2019 for the French Admiral:

The Caribbean Clipper has been my very first lego ship when I was 8 years old back in 1989. So it had to stay the same even with one mast and one cannon added.

So the old rivals Roger and Broadside can meet again, this time played by my son... 30 years later :-)

I am honest, I love the bigger ships most, Imperial Flagship 2010 and BSB are always my favourites of all time...

But also these smaller ones can have an impressive view...

The Caribbean Clipper 2019 had received also an update, just did not make any pictures as it has been occupite in "action" (playing) it wss a 5 ship 5 kids sea battle.

Now the pictures, and sorry the flag is upside down, recognized it too late and too lazy now to make new pictures. But when it's played that happens ;-)

I enjoy the more minimalist look of the back when compared to the original. It's also nice to see some love shown to the Red Beard Runner's sail, but personally I think it throws off the Blue coat look a little. I believe the sail itself would look great if you could change the color. If you know how to use photoshop, I'd recommend tinkering with the sail a bit and getting a nice vibrant blue to match the clipper's sails.  Other than that, It's still a wonderful vessel and I look forward to seeing what else you do.

The clipper extension you did is beautiful and really captures the ship's potential. Also, where did you get the black hull for your ship from? Thanks!

Thank you!

I have no sail left to use a blue one. And how can I get it through Photoshop on the sail?

The black hull parts are not lego, just some game stuff. I bought a whole fake lego ship, black with terrible plastic sails. Something like a fake black pearl. I used just the hull parts from that one as I paid just 5 bucks on eBay.

There is an entire library on Eurobricks that contains most the sails Lego has produced. They should all be 1:1 scale. From there you just click on whatever sail you want to edit/print and then when you're in the new tab, download it to computer. All you got to do from there is just go on photoshop, select the lines on the sails and then change the hue to whatever color you desire and then you're done. You can always edit more if you'd like, but that's the simplest version. After that just buy printable fabric and print your sails on it. This is how I'd recommend buying sails for ships, as you can add a custom look to your ship and only have to pay one tenth as much.

Here's the link to the sail library:

Hope this helps!

Took the other sails, the plastic one as they at least match altogether. I think they don't match the nice ship or the colours.
