Pattspatt Posted June 30, 2019 Hi all - I'm a big fan of the 21303 Wall-E set, but I always wished that he'd be able to fold into a box like he did in the film. After a lot of tinkering, now he can! Peeking out: Fully unfolded: Almost all of the range of poses in the film are now possible, including poses in-between transformation. Here are a few examples: I also made a gif of the transformation (stop-motion): https://i.imgur.com/UqMKq6F.gifv And there's also a gif of the improved range of arm motion, that almost matches the range in the movie: https://i.imgur.com/KAyRTr7.gifv If you'd like to see more pictures, there are some at https://imgur.com/gallery/S6Dtgru. If you'd like tips on how to build this guy, I've compiled an album at https://imgur.com/gallery/Jb94JSw. Thanks for looking!
NathanR Posted June 30, 2019 This is absolutely stunning, I love it!! I'm going to have to study this and see if I can make mine do the same.

Pattspatt Posted July 2, 2019 Thanks folks! @NathanR, let me know if you’d like any other pictures - I plan to keep him assembled pretty much indefinitely :)
cehnot Posted July 2, 2019 Have you thought about doing instructions by reverse engineering it in photos? Basically you take a photo each time you take a part off that way you can reassemble it later.
Pattspatt Posted July 2, 2019 If I ever decide to take him apart, I’ll definitely do that - but I’m not sure if that’ll ever happen, besides a few future improvements. The album at https://imgur.com/gallery/Jb94JSw is kind of like that, but could definitely be more in-depth.
PanMati Posted January 5, 2021 Hey, i love how you modified wall E and i got a few questions 1st: can i Get to know how you modified it? 2nd: if so, how many legos Did you had to add to make it work? Or Did you find every block you need already in the set? 3rd: how Did you make the arms and legs work??
Fuppylodders Posted January 6, 2021 I didnt see this post until now! What an amazing little modification!! The set was already cute enough, but damn, that little gif you made I'll certainly be looking to do your mod to mine too, the extra posing is just too awesome not to!
